Deleter (2022)
DELETER IS WORTH WATCHING! Don't believe the negative reviews placed by KathNiel fans here.
Having won the most major awards and a number 1 box office spot in the Film Festival is already enough reason to watch this most talked about film of the year. It was so good that it reached international audiences and was extended to still be shown in cinemas the following year.
The plot was thought-provoking, catches everyone's interest, original and believable. What made it enjoyable to watch was the unexpected jump-scares & gripping scenes that turned the cinemas into a roller-coaster ride.
The themes and tone really matched the film with symbolism used in good taste.
The acting of the leading actress Nadine Lustre was outstanding breaking the mould of relying on love teams for a film's success, she surprised everyone with her acting chops displaying a different side of her in this movie. She had the challenges of having computer screens as her co-actors and carrying the entire film by herself.
The Direction, Score, Cinematography, Production Design, Special Effects and Editing were all world-class. It was indeed a masterpiece by the Red Brothers and Nadine Lustre.
Hustlers (2019)
Another Golden Globe for JLo!
Jennifer Lopez, take all my money!!! You can't even tell that she's on her 50s. She gave an astounding performance on this film that might get her a first Oscar nomination. Such a funny, entertaining and inspiring film. I haven't been to a strip club before but now I felt like I've seen it all after watching the film.
Siempre Bruja (2019)
Binged the whole season 1 overnight
It's so magical and educational at the same time. I didn't know that Colombians are this good in creating a tv series.
That Thing Called Tadhana (2014)
SURPRISINGLY GOOD!
This is one of those films that I watched without seeing the trailer or having any idea about what the film is about and had no expectations. The film only relied on its two lead actors without any other famous supporting casts, extras, special effects and musical background which made it so raw yet so good at the same time. It makes you go in a journey together with the characters that it makes you feel attached to them. You get to feel how they feel and you start to root for them to get together in the end. It had a really good story-telling and used breath-taking locations that makes you immerse in the story. Splendid acting from both Angelica and JM.

ENCHANTED & CAPTIVATED!
Nadine has come out as a really strong actress this year capable of turning a character into someone you'd be drawn into. She has this strong yet subtle way of making the audience believe her without her having to over-act her message. It was my first time to see Carlo Aquino act and wow he was so memorable! That scene of Nadine and Carlo in that magical forest from Maya's childhood was so entrancing that you'd actually start feeling your own heartbeat. It was so magical and heart-breaking that it makes you feel alive. I actually watched the film twice because it was really a beautiful masterpiece having an original concept and impressive casting.
Aurora (2018)
FIRE THE SPECIAL EFFECTS COMPANY!
This film could have been so promising as it had a really good storyline, great acting and casting as well as cinematography but by the time they used the special effects in showing the big giant ghost, it just went all downhill! I guess the ship was already sinking even before the journey began.
Eerie (2018)
HAS THE POTENTIAL
This film had some really spine-tingling scenes and jump-scare techniques wisely used that made this a good horror film. I love how it was very original in using a traditional Filipino Catholic School horror story and turned it into a masterpiece.
Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019)
WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!
I was excited to watch the film due to the hype and some of my friends posting about it on social media however, I was very disappointed after watching the film as the acting from the lead actors including supporting cast appeared quite scripted and very awkward. Kathryn & Alden seemed too rehearsed and some of their co-actors were really annoying. The story was predictable and recycled from previous films. Only thing I appreciate was the cinematography and soundtrack. Save your money and just watch this on netflix or cinema one when it airs.

Inspiring Film displaying astounding talents of the Filipinos
Sam Concepcion & Nadine Lustre both re-invented themselves yet again for their roles in this refreshing Filipino dance-inspired musical film. They have both showcased their fascinating talents in dancing, acting and singing. Some fresh talents were also introduced and the group's journey was worth the watch throughout the entire film. I wouldn't be surprised if Nadine would be awarded another "Best Actress" award as the challenges for this role were difficult for just any actress to pull off with such passion & subtleness. Well done to the cast and crew.
