How to glamorise a calamity
31 August 2023
I love murder mysteries and I causally played this. On the first scene itself I figured it out , that it's related to the Old Delhi Burari case. The next scene shows Bhatia in skimpy clothes. Story is twisted to make it look like a murder mystery. I had to turn it off after 5 mins. This is outright disrespectful to the victims and the family members of the Burari deaths. Indian shows are mostly copy of US or scandanavian shows when it comes to murder mysteries

Just watch the Netflix documentary which came out last year. That is 100 times better than this. I hate watching half naked women portraying police inspectors.

This broke me even more
9 October 2022
I have been fascinated yet horrified when I first read about Dahmer crimes back in 2016 I guess. I had no clue what his standing was amongst all serial killers. Then like in last 3 years I have watched pretty much whats available on the internet about him including the 10 part series just released on Netflix. But what this 3 part docuseries has to offer is something that would make you wonder even more, what actually went Dahmers mind. TBH I felt probably a 0.0001% sympathy for him.. But once I heard his actual confessions here with his defense attorney, I was shocked to no end. I mean this takes everything else you would have seen or read about. The shocking details and his chemistry with his young defense attorney. I mean how could they even represent this guy. The prosecution angle is something very very interesting. Theres toness of stuff out there about Dahmer, But this one is the most realistic, as it contains the words of man himself during or around his trial. I lost whatever sympathy I had when I heard about those drillings.

To save your daughter, you don't have 30 innocents killed
10 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Totally unrealistic. And i read a review someone moaning about dubbed series. Well hey there, it's spanish. It's not dubbed. You chose it to watch it dubbed coz you dont understand Spanish.

This is totally unrealistic by the 3rd episode. You can't have dozens of innocent officerels killed, firemen killed just because your daughter is kidnapped. Especially when you are the warden of a correctional facility.

Lacks logic and common sense in every other scene where the warden let's lose control over inmates.

Utter Trash. Paid Reviews
25 June 2022
BB Original is perhaps the only Bollywood movie i had watched twice in last 15 years. And then I saw the trailer for this and then the reviews. I finally decided to give it a go. And boy this was trash as soon as it made it to the Haveli. Crosses all limits of naiveness and how could one possibily accept whats happening. Utter Trash. I have extreme dislike for Akshay for his religious outlook these days but boy that first one was a cult classis oh horror comedy genre.

Most good reviews are probably paid ones.

Why is this rated 7.3?
27 November 2021
Only thing this movie did right was to give credit to Montage, the original. Saying based on Montage, the movie. Well it was a scene by scene rip off. They couldn't bring in Statue of limitations angle coz of Indian law. And that's it. I can understand if you try to remake a 70s thriller, but this was barely 5 years old. This would have taken a month to copy the script and write the dialogues. And probably less than a month to shoot. Recipe for C grade movie. Even young filmakers would have out more efforts and bring in some creativity for a narrative that's already told. Well it's India and Amitabh literally features in all such copycats from Kaantey to Great Escape to The invisible guest and now this. Well there are so many more but ....

Bloody Brilliant from execution point of view
14 November 2021
Well, as an IT professional, I could tell anyone the methods tried by the Dad to uncover her daughters online identity were as authentic as it could get. You can actually do that, without being tech savvy. It was great to see windows XP in motion. How the family had 3 accounts and how the dad uses it to track his daughters whereabouts when he couldn't get help he need from online methods. Truly compelling. The movie has a message as well, regarding how vulnerable today's generation is to all the social media tools.

It's a great thriller and executed in highly entertaining way.

Turns from being believable to utter nonsense
16 October 2021
It starts off with a believable premise when an unwanted situation leads to a homicide. To cover up that murder, plot moves in a frenzy, when one murder leads to other , all in the name of protecting the family. To be honest, it becomes laughable after episode 4. Defies logic. And it is rated 9.3 at the moment. Clearly these paid one time reviews need to stop. This at best is a passable watch.

Nothing special apart from first 3 episodes.

Was hooked to this show when it came to India
28 September 2021
So this was telecasted in India on Firangi TV in Hindi, probably around 2010 or before. I was absolutely hooked to this show at that time. Supernatural settings made it intriguing. But I never finished it.

More than being Poor it's DUMB
11 September 2021
I didn't get the part where the Daughter keeps calling FBI agent after her father kills a few.

It's beyond anyone's intelligence what is she trying to convey. The dad goes on a killing spree maybe killing innocents who are doing their job probably. It's a dumbfest. It typically is when you have a brainless teen.

Reflects Indian Mindset to consume garbage and an insult to human intelligence
7 September 2021
This carried for 20 years. I remember being and school and actually waiting for new CID episodes. 20 years later I see some of it as my Dad is bingewatching for his timepass. Even I ridicule him for watching this crass of a show. Just goes to show the standard of Indian Television. ACP solves each case by pure guesses. ACP has been ACP for 20 years. Infact nothing changes apart from some new characters. This is not even close to a real investigation, not even by a mile. Cases are solved on the same old deserted road every other episode. Leads crack cases merely by running around the streets. Every one they question actually gives them a clue everytime. There's no need to take a formal interview. Everything is at face value. Forensics are a joke. Indian public deserves such garbage. Coz if they keep watching it this is what they are going to get.

All 10/10 Reviews are by users created in August-2021
19 August 2021
Paid user reviews or just plain fanatic fans.

Just go through all the reviews, mostly one liners, grammar nearly the same, all refering to Akshay as Sir. Last Akshay movie I watched was Special 26. Since then he has probably given 90% garbage. Indian cinema lovers or so called fans are similar to Shahid Afridi fans in Pakistan. They make a hero out of mediocrity.

Too little action, far too late
1 August 2021
It started off nice. Great atmosphere to begin with, it even held on for some time. But it never took off after that. Old property, new construction, no sell.. you have seen it all before. There are senseless killings to begin with even for a corrupt environment. I wanted the lead to go on a action spree but it all turned out quite sore. The film doesn't introduce any creativity.

If you are really bored you can give it a go.

Nothing special.

How could they carry on production with a Lead like this
31 July 2021
I read many reviews here and I believe the ones with lower ratings are absolutely spot on. You get a vibe with the first scene itself that its going to be not so good. Not so good turns into typically bad, when you see the lead for the first time. I regretted FF the movie into the 20th minute, as the all the bad reviews seem to be flashing in front of my eyes. 4 stars only for the location and shots. Mother is utterly unbelievable, cant act, theres no emotional connect. Rest of it is just plain bad, probably with D grade actors. Save yourselves dont watch this.

Bloody Brilliant
27 July 2021
The only thing this movie falls short of is not a strong connection between the vampire mother and his son. It all seems one sided. The boy was not the right cast in my mind. Other than that, the lady vampire is the coolest thing seen in this Genre since Train to Busan. Only place it doesn't quite stand up is the emotional front.

Go watch it. It is worth more than one time watch.

Current Rating is a Joke
24 July 2021
This is way better than the rating and the plot suggests. I watched it a while agao and this was still on the back of my mind. Theres enough tension, build up and execution is just perfect. May be a few plot holes, but thats fine. This is way better than your average popcorn horror slasher flick.

Had Promise But Failed Miserably
4 December 2020
It started off Ok. Had a decent build up. Empty School, Pro Kidnappers, Delta Force ce Dad as Rescuer. But once the action started, it all started to go downhill to the point that it couldn't redeem itself. Ryan Phillipe tries hard. But the script is poor and action sequences didn't quite excite you enough. The Girl and the Boy play dumb. Then you also get shots where they are killing the bad guys for fun. Sorry doesn't cut it

Fresh, Eerie, Haunting, Cultural Gem but not worth 8.4, as it lets go of premises set in series opener
26 November 2020
The title says it all. This is a never seen before take on the paranormal/horror genre. We get a mesmerizing insight into Egyptian culture which I think was depicted from mid 1940s or thereafter. First episode was something breathtakingly beautiful. The sadness and the music just sticks with you. Immense promise, tension.. just bloody brilliant. It clicks all corners for acting. But thereafter the story loses plot and it episodes become redundant until the final one. This is something that definitely needs to be seen. But it isnt in the category of 8.4. i think 8 would be a fair assesment I have given it 8 because too many people have blindly given 10

An Extremely Hard Watch on all fronts
25 November 2020
This movie tries to do too many things and tries to create a story out of nothing. We get Mrs Santa Claus as well, which didn't help at all. Script is paper thin. Kurt Russell was a shadow of himself compared to the first movie. First 45 minutes seem pointless and many people would skip the movie then & there. I didn't expect a laugh riot but an exciting one at least like the first. But this movie fails on all fronts

Solid Mystery that falls apart due to unexplicable reactions of female lead reporter
18 November 2020
Everything is wonderful whodunit drama. There's great character development, the plot is Engaging. It's true korean style corrupt police prosecution story, quite similar in tone to Forest of Secrets. But the female lead just blows apart any logical human affection and rationale. How can she have split mind 99% of times as a reporter. You need to watch it to see how her character goes down to depths of complete humiliation of human behavior. Having emotions for killers is something unexplicable. Especially cold blooded murder and an innocent being executed If her character was kept more believable, I would have given it a 9. There's tonnes of comedy. But for me the female lead wrecks it apart by her completely unbelievable affection for the revealed killer

Aesthetically Brilliant but feminist to the core
15 November 2020
Brilliant acting, great production values but it feels awfully flawed, as it portraits something that isn't common. A female chess player!!!! There are way too many fillers. The lead cast looks a touch annoying as a chess player. I thought the child played her part a lot better. It's worth a watch, but slips way too many times in the middle after a great start

Concoction of Great Story, War Setup, Anime and Filters
14 November 2020
Just give it 30 minutes to get accustomed to the filter. The plots, storyline, the setup and the war strategy depicted are excellent. A human side is shown for the Nazis as well. It's something really different and I really started to love the mixture of Animation and Filters. Wonderful to watch and definitely a different take visually to World War II

Vulgarity Taken To A New Level
26 October 2020
No this was anything but Borat. It starts off at a vulgar tone and ends with the same. I had to skip many parts due to this. It was painful to watch. This was a political satire done in worst possible way. If you were looking for comedy, forget about it, all you are going to get is watching pubic hairs and butt *oles. There's hardly anything of note. A movie done in haste. In fact seems no real effort was put in. Disappointed

Doesnt Live up to expectations it sets after First Episode
23 October 2020
They tried to do a Viking. But problem here is that half the cast is good and rest of it is awful. They dont act like barbarians at all. Pros: Decent Setup. The lead characters are good. Arminius (Roman/German) is probably the best character Fight scenes are OK to a certain extent. There is some gore which is not overdone. Final Fight Scene seems a bit over the top for showing Romans to be extremely foolish, but it does give you good vibes. Cons Weak Supporting cast. The Riek was implausible. Low production values at most places. It never really takes off until the final episode.

It becomes an undesirable sandwich between Spartacus and Vikings.

Watch it if you are really bored and like period dramas

Pandemic Thriller that is Engaging with good music and bit if humor thrown in
11 October 2020
It's low budget pandemic thriller woven around a complex web of relationships. The setting in Russia is the best part. It's very different from your average hollywood outbreak series. Characters do some silly things. No one's perfect but no one's bad either. It's watchable.
