Red State (2011)
Underrated and entertaining
This movie is not nearly as bad as everyone else is saying. Kevin Smith's first (and apparently the last) horror/completely serious non-comedy. Whatever you think is going to happen, just make sure to throw that out of your head because it won't. The story kept my on the edge of my seat, and truly investing my time into this movie, I actually think the relatively smaller budget made this movie even better as Kevin Smith is able to make wonders with a little bit movie. Although the ending was a bit underwhelming it still managed to get the job done(I kinda wish they had gone with the original). It is easily his best since Dogma, you can tell he put his blood, sweat, tears, and cum into this one.
Heroes (2006)
Really good show, one season to long. (one minor spoiler)
I remember first watching it and not thinking much of it. But then I went back a few years are re-watched and really enjoyed it. The first season is really good. But easily the best season was the 2nd one, each story was engrossing and had me on the edge of my seat. Every character I felt contributed enough to make me care for everyone (except for Sylar of course).Season 3 was not as good as 2 but I still liked it and it entertained me enough to keep watching but not nearly as much as the first two. Then there was season 4....simply....don't watch it, everything the show had going for it was ruined trying to hard to wrap it up neatly made, force ridiculous character changes (Sylar becoming a good guy?!). Save your self the time of watching season 4, it pretty much taints the rest of the show. All together I really enjoyed the series, sure the acting wasn't Emmy worthy (Save for Zachary Quinto who should have gotten an award)but the writing certainly was. A good, fun, and serious show that is good at entertaining. Would give a 8 out of 10 but season 4 is just to faulty for me to give it the extra star.
Movie 43 (2013)
My god I cannot believe this is an actual thing
Going into this movie I had very high hopes, I mean just looking at the cast alone makes me get excited and then the trailers showed a lot of funny jokes, and apparently the only funny jokes, the rest kind of just well fall short of even nod worthy, absolute worst movie of 2013 and that is including 21 and Over, who ever okay'd this movie to be made needs to not only be fired but lined up and fired at, with all the DVDs this thing didn't and won't sell, because any human being with even a sliver of a brain can look at this and just scoff in utter disgust as they should. Don't waste your time you will only hate yourself....trust me I honestly feel dumber for just watching it. By the way this is the longest run on sentence EVER
Eminem AKA (2004)
Very good and detailed but still leaves out many details.
This is actually a very good and detailed documentary, It covers everything from his child hood to his first few album. It really does help put it in perspective, it is also interesting seeing with Debbie also sharing her side of the story, even going into HER childhood a little. Seeing all the defining details, also mentioning how he found music and discovering comic books (even displaying some of his drawings) really help paints a good picture. I did enjoy how them even spending some time talking about Proof and saying how important he is to Eminem's music. Although, it did leave out quite a few details that also had just as much as anything else. Most notably his little bro Nate, who wasn't even mentioned at all, even though if you look at a lot of his songs about his mom he talks about Nate A lot even in his new song Headlights(Off of the very good album Marshal Mathers LP 2) he talked about events with Nate that really helped define him as a person. It also left out Laney, Kim's niece and having to take care of her, Em talked about her as much as he did Hallie even saying he loves her like a daughter. All together is was a really good documentary that helps take a look at the Rap God himself Marshall Mathers AKA Eminem AKA Slim Shady AKA B Rabbit AKA The White Guy from D12 AKA Evil
