Dave Chappelle: The Closer (2021)
GOAT
Done it again, will do it everytime he's on stage, born to do it perfectly.
Attack of the Hollywood Clichés! (2021)
Expected a fun one, actually found only agendas.
This is propaganda and agendas at its finest.
Started as fun but soon was filled with a lot of crap.
The White Tiger (2021)
Not your typical bollywood movie!
The White Tiger is a movie which portrait that old conflict between the old and the poor, the master and the servants, but in a way that feels new in certain ways and new in the place also!
The story about a poor guy who see opportunity arises to be his master and the landlord of the village driver, and he go on and grap that opportuinity but when the events go on it will lead to unexpected turns! (to those who didnt see the trailer, dont watch it!)
I really liked the story, i felt a bit of 'parasite' in it but in a more fun, not so deep way. There is tragedy there but not portrayed as strong as the korean movie. and the character arc of Balram was almost a perfect one.
Adarsh Gourav as Balram was exceptional, he had that goofy look that made you believe he was that servant but also in the flashforwards you know that he's not all that and he has sides to explore. he was the highlight of the movie.
Ted Lasso: The Hope That Kills You (2020)
Good But..!
Dont get me wrong here i liked most if not all of the episodes and that drama and human connections in every and each one of them but.. i just think they should improve the prespectives that is related to football in the field and dressing rooms, in the early episodes it was not the highlight so i was not bothered, but really just imagining that that would actually happen in an actual match in THE PREMIER LEAGUE is just hilariously dissapointing. More work equals more realistic outcome equals less cheesy sequences! but great ending to that great ride.
Looking forward for that next season!
The Devil All the Time (2020)
I mean.. whats the point?
The devil all the time is a slow-burn crime drama movie that was awaited due to the promising and talented cast, and it takes place in 3 main arcs, arvin's (tom holland) arc the hot blooded young man, the preacher's arc (robert pattenson), and the serial murderers and sherrif arc.
I liked
- Tom holland's, bill skarsgard's and robert pattenson's performances and i think they are the mot memorable thing in the whole movie.
- Cinematography was beautifully done.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
A timeless story or is it?
The movie is about a "jake" and his girlfriend which is referred to as "young woman" and have many names throughout the movie. They are going to visit jake's parents for a one day trip and coming back again.
First act is the journey to the "farmy" area to jake's parents and how awkward it's between them and we hear the inner thought of the girlfriend wanting to ending things while being interrupted for a random yet confusing topics. I think Jessie Buckley carried that whole first act.
Second act is the arrival of them to his parents house and how they are welcoming her yet annoying Jake. And let me say that this act was bizarre and confusing and i think was the most bizarre act i have seen in a while.
Third act and after that rollercoaster of thriller and confusion is the journey back home or as we think it is and it does continue the rhythm of you thinking " there is something wrong in this movie i can feel it ".
Finally i think the movie is about aging and loneliness and i think that this is all a dying "lonely" man memory trying to collect memories from here and there. Trying to think that he was a quantum physics scientist, poet, "genus", painter and had a loving girlfriend, family that supported him and was there at his biggest moment in life that he would love to have rather than being a janitor and returning to an empty home with no one but himself and his thoughts about what could've been if he wasnt a janitor and worked hard and reached what he hoped he'd be in life.
I really liked the cinematography, the acting, the bizarre screenwriting and the thoughts it puts in your head, but i guess it was too bizarre that you'd get lost in the middle, and maybe even lose interest? not in my case but i think it'd be common.
Boku no hîrô akademia: His Start (2020)
Finally a look at our new No.1!
From the start of the show i think i saw the potential of the endevor character being driven into the main plot points and the good arcs that could come of it.
I see Endevor as the Bakugo of the main heroes a grey character not all good deeds not all perfect but the amount of needed and interesting depth.
I hope we see more of Endevor and the rise of him to continue tha path of all might and getting the acknowledgment he deserves and maybe his final episode is the best of the anime.
Boku no hîrô akademia: Bright Future (2020)
YOU WILL BE THE GREATEST.
I think of the most interesting characters and had also interesting relationships to all our protagonists was Night Eye. I think he was really interesting and he just left with the best possible ending to a interesting, harsh -sometimes- and loving fun character - in his own way-. I feel like this is the best possible ending to this arc and to see that lemillion will probably have a future as one of the main characters soon is sth we can all look forward to.
Sex Education: Episode 3 (2020)
SOUNDTRAACKS PEOPLEEE!
I guess the best thing about netflix shows beside everything else is the soundtracks. whoever chooses them should get a damn raise. lol.
I really like all this building up but i think we have more love triangles than we should.
the arc of the sexual assault was just on point and touches a vulnerable, old, disturbing, realistic topic that needs a whole show not just an arc in an episode.
Boku no hîrô akademia: Infinite 100% (2020)
ONE OF THE BEST
This episode continue down the arc of overhaul and our heroes journey to save Iri 'the little girl' and follows from another one of the best -in my opinion- Lemillion and Unforseen Hope.
The Fight scenes are just WOW and watching Deku using 100% of his power is just sth else i thought we would've gone to the 7th season and he'd be like here i can only use 32.5% now. lol.
I think it pretty much closes that arc and starts out the new bigger one with league of villains.
5-5.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Best In 2017?
I'd like to conclude the movie in short points
- Frances McDormand did a great work on her character and the character was worth watching and very interesting.
- Woody Harrelson's role was the best he offered during the last decade
- Sam Rockwell's performance and character were extremely interesting and astonshing!
- Soundtracks is really good at this movie
- I See this film winning at least 2 Oscars.
IT WAS GREAT EXPERIENCE. A+
Logan (2017)
The Best Solo SuperHero Movie!!
Logan is talking about the future of the x-men when there's no mutants except Logan , Professor and Kalliban. And the mysterious quest that Professor convince Logan to do.
Firstly,Hugh Jackman was awesome, he delivered an outstanding acting in the movie, he gave as the angry old wolverine, the weak one, the mesirable one, and finally the old and dying one. Patrick Stewart did his job all right,His last scene was just wonderful. Dafne Keen ' laura ' did a very fine job. She was a total badass. The villain in this movie was good. The ending was excellent.
To Conclude.. It's the best X-men movie of all time and my favourite with civil war.
Hail Hugh Jackman The One and Only Wolverine!
