The English (2022)

Coen brothers mixed with Tarantino

Story telling at its best. A roam across the wild west with stunning cinematography, strong performances and a script made that would be wasted in a 2hr film. Amazon have finally backed an original creative gem.

Chaske Spencer stoic character and performance is the glue that holds the chaos together in a stand out performance. Rafe Spall's "bond" villain steals his scenes and is the black hole at it's center, epitomizing the darkness of the wild west.

Westerns are back in vogue, with thanks to Taylor Sheridan commitment to the culture and history of the American Indian nation. This is the perfect partner to Sheridan's 1883 and will leave you wanting more from a reinvigorated genre.

Started well, wasted potential

Warning: Spoilers
After a good start and character building, became clichéd and predictable. Had high hopes with strong characters developing and a great story of Isaacs journey.

Stunning cinematography and editing. The actor playing a father who lost his son stole the movie with brief but unforgettably stunning scene and performance.

For the social care heros
18 September 2021
A must watch, powerhouse performances by Liverpools finest in Jodie Commer & Stephen Graham for all the social care heros of the pandemic abandoned by the Government. An important and necessary true history covered up by the Tory press and propaganda machine.

TV drama doesn't get any better than this. Gritty yet tastefully written with powerhouse performances from the two leads.

Couldnt turn it off. What a cast, it would have been wasted in a 2hr movie. Great characterization, supreme acting by all, with excellent cinematography and a perfect meandering soundtrack to match the mood. Thank you Ben Stiller for an exceptional piece of art.
