I was afraid it'd be too childish, but I was wrong.

Very solid story, the illustrations/art of this movie is simply breathtaking, it's all so funny, cute, and inspiring. One of the best animations done recently, I can't recommend it enough

Better than many fiction series out there
13 February 2020
I've watched many documentaries and fiction series on violent crimes, police investigation and corrosion. This series is so entertaining and interesting that it has grasped my attention and curiosity more than many fiction series could have done. The story-telling, turnarounds, and different points of view are amazing.

Could have been great, but it was not

Warning: Spoilers
The movie starts in a very exciting way, and gets you eager to know what's going to happen next. However, right after the accident, everything gets VERY SLOW and little by little I got bored to death. Basically, it shows the protagonist getting drunk everyday and that's all about it. It would have been interesting to have a shorter movie or that other things happened in between the accident and the judgement.

Loved watching it!

I feel culturally enriched after watching this documentary series.

I always feel a huge fascination and curiosity towards what makes people believe and act upon faith. I am an agnostic today, but I was believer as a kid, and all stories like these make me see a bit of myself and understand part of my childhood.

The documentary is amazing, pretty well done, and my opinion on whether such a community should or not exist was inclined to change according to different opinions on the first episodes - then later, my conclusion is that it should not.

Looking forward to more NetFlix productions like this.

Such a disappointment
23 March 2019
After Netflix's production of The Mechanism, which I really enjoyed, I thought "finally there'll be well produced series from and on Brazil". After reading Coisa mais linda's plot I got excited about it: I love Brazil, I love Bossa Nova, and Rio's beauty is breath taking, what a great idea for a series!

Little did I know I'd be so disappointed. Acting and dialogues are quite poor, quite unnatural, it resembles more to a Globo's soap opera than to a Netflix's production.

I was decided to finish at least the first episode, but I was forced to stop at the scene when the man on the boat starts to sing, his mouth moves with no synchronization to the song! Moreover, the - playback - music sound is perfect, clearly recorded in a studio, not on a boat. God! How could you do that on a series using music as its core inspiration?

I've gone from 10 stars of expectation down to 1 star of complete disappointment.

Later edit (answer to grenierfrancis): Don't worry, I watched it in Brazilian Portuguese. Moreover, I didn't expect the series to create a new genre, I only expected it to be a good production with good dialogues, acting and so on.

Really nice!

Although I could predict some of the movie's "mysteries", I can say it was amazing because it wasn't a cliché movie. Far from the monster/assassin regular stories, it keeps your attention and curiosity from the start and at the end gives you a "gran finale". I loved it, hopefully it is going to give some inspiration for innovations in this genre of movie that has been stagnated for quite a time now.
