Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
why do you guys think is the final?
I think some was thinking this after the lost ark.
Or of course after the temple of doom.
Or after the last crusade.
Or maybe after the dial of destiny.
Yeah, Indie is too old, the music is too loud.
Then this movie came. Saw it in 4DX. Like a modern movie. Really catchy, didn't feel how the time went. Now Indie is not young anymore, that's the true but the magic keeps going on.
I think he can do one more, and dealing with the fact that Disney bought the franchise, I really don't think that they did it for just one more movie.
I'm sure Indiana Jones will get continued, even after the legendary Harrison Ford will no longer play the main character. They will find someone who will pick the baton or actually the whip and the hat.
The Walking Dead: Scars (2019)
is that you, anakin?
Looks like the temple of jedi is desacred.
She is trying to save them but this is in vain. Anyway, really great episode. I am appreciating the action and also the drama and the suspense.
The bad thing is that is hard to make a distinction from the past and the present.
I really enjoy the walking dead show. It is something else and now that it had finally finished it's a great chance to see all the episodes at once. This is the first one after i am writing a review.
The character limits is a shame, btw. They need to make it smaller than 600, let's say 300 maximum. See you and enjoy watching it!
Our Universe (2022)
Graphics 10, narration 10, assertions/assumptions 1
The documentary looks great. It's well narrated.
But when I'm seeing dumb assertions like: there was no life on Mars... I can't rate this title with anything else except 1.
How do you know that there wasn't life on Mars? We, the human civilization, has just barely set some robotic foots and wheels on Mars. Water existed a long time ago in the past. A proper digging shall be performed. I'm sure we will find many things there when we will got the chance.
Another assertion which is clearly false is: there would be no life without water. Yes, the life we know. And actually even not that one. Cause even on the Earth, there are several type of microorganisms which are living in extreme conditions and looking for food in H2SO4, for example.
In the last episode the beginning statement contains another assumption: our planet has the best conditions for life. Really? Most of the places where life exists might have them.
Cobra Kai: Head of the Snake (2022)
oh man, what an ending
I really liked season 4 less than the other three. I've said that netflix was destroying these series. But after watching season 5 i've changed my mind.
It was an amazing season from the beginning until the end. And even if i was guessing most of the plots, some and especially the final one was a surprise even for me. Of course there are plenty of hints but if you are getting into the action is hard to figure out all the minor things.
Great job, netflix. Now i'm waiting for the final season with hopes that it will be at leas that good as this one. Very nice character development, very nice nostalgia chars triggers and very nice new characters addition.
If you hadn't watched please watch it, it's definitely worth your time.
Emily in Paris (2020)
The perfect combination between Devil wears Prada and HIMYM
Lily Collins looks great for some of us (including myself) and pretty not so cool for others. But her suits are great in these series.
It reminds me a lot of Devil wears Prada.
It also has a narrative like a sitcom where i can match some How I met your mother.
The characters are great. I really like them all, including Camille or Emily Chicago's boss.
Really fun and entertaining series.
Watched x2 until now. 10/10 best series i've found on netflix during 2021. Can't wait for the season 3.
Cobra Kai (2018)
I thought that Netflix will broke those series
But I was wrong.
The 3rd one is amazing.
I was expecting to what was happening in the final, but the way it was greeting there was asome.
Vikings, Westworld, Game of Thrones please sit down and take some notes from a perfect show which teaches how to improve the quality from a season to another.
Thanks Cobra Kai for a perfect 2021 start!
Narcos: Al Fin Cayó! (2016)
So much drama
So much drama in this episode.
If in the first season Pablo was hated, now this is constantly changing during this season.
You start to feel pity for him.
It's a very well directed decay, maybe one of the best in the television history.
I love the way Pablo is portrayed.
The acting is insane. You feel like you are there, just near to him. You feel the depression and the slow pace.
Amazing series.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
I could give an 6 or 7 but the average rate is to high at the moment
So, firstly, regarding the aesthetics, this episode is filmed into the dark and a lot of scenes are flickering. First, I've thought that it was happening only on my side (i was watching on a tv i was never watching GoT before), but after reading some of the reviews it was clear that this was a common issue. The sound is pretty bad, too.
The logic is, sadly, a poor logic. First, why to sacrifice your cavallery in an useless way? Second, why not using the dragons more often and in a constructive way? All the main chars actions were selfish and totally lacked of team work.
I was expecting for a Jon-Dany duo to fight side by side with the dragons. Using some collaboration there but they had barely speak to each other once in this episode.
The action is quite rampage but lacked on rational approach. I don't think that anyone could wait to confront that dead army in an open field. Also, I don't think that opening the fortress doors could be such an easy action and would have been in a such a low request manner.
The end is somehow a surprise, but I was expecting to end in a manner related to more loses in main chars, and less for the army size.
Now it is easier for Cersei to win.
P.s. There is only one dragon left after this episode and Jon will be acussed for losing the second dragon.
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Naked girls, weird cars, desert, sun, gasoline = a recipe for success
I've really enjoyed this sequel, prequel, remake or whatever it is.
Set in the same apocalyptic world as the original Mad Max trilogy, this movie provides about two hours of continuously action.
It's also nice that the components of the story are not revealed (e.g. what's that milk used for). You have to figure this out by yourself.
The characters are also cool, the girls are beautiful and Mad Max is developed in just the way he is meant to be. Also, I've never seen Charlize Theron ugly in a movie before. Overall, it's a very good work for George Miller, but the movie needs something more to become a legend like the original movie.
This 8 ratting comes just because I'm expecting something more from this movie (or pack of future movies) than just action, naked girls, desert and so on. I'm hoping that Mad Max: Fury Road it is just the beginning for what will come, a trilogy that will definitely resurrect the original Mad Max, than just make money by reminding people about the series with the same name.
Last Knights (2015)
An exaggerative tale for the falling of a knight
I'll be short, because I hadn't many expectancies from this title.
The distribution is OK, but the scenario is pretty bad. Developing the main character is also very bad. I know that being drunk all the time as a regret for obeying the law isn't a virtue, but I don't understand why I have to watch this an almost half of during this movie? So, my suggestion for the director of this movie is: if you want to make a movie about the drunk destructive behavior, make a thriller or a drama in our today's world. With this distribution you should have no problems doing this in an acceptable way. If you are making a movie about knights in a fantasy world, please be more consequent in illustrating this world than focusing on the main character weaknesses.
Pro: distribution, graphics; Cons: story, excessive focusing on the main character drunken weakness.
