National Treasure: Edge of History (2022)
Absolutely Terrible
They take what's so good about the National Treasure movies and completely destroy it.
They try to recreate the characters from National Treasure in this new and younger group- but they do it so badly that makes them so frustratingly awful. The main character is probably the worst. They try to make her this problem solving genius and try to make her like Ben Gates- but her character is so flat and boring that it SHOWS that they were trying to make her like Ben.
National Treasure was such a great idea and the movies were SO good. But this show is an absolute dumpster fire. The story progression isn't even that bad- it's the way they make it look like they are following a script. The actors follow what they are supposed to do and it shows that they are acting and following a script in their actions. There are some stakes but they are so low bar and predictable.
Riverdale (2017)
Started Good, Got Bad
I loved the first season of Riverdale. It had good pacing, the characters were semi-interesting, and the story was relatively well built.
Second season was good but not worthy of any praise. The characters were dull, they gave Betty a ridiculous storyline because people thought she was boring, the main plot is poorly written.
Season three is really where it gets out of hand. It took me a good four/five months to watch season three. Not only is the storyline completely ridiculous, they ruined every good thing about the characters. They butchered the writing, there are about ten different storylines going on (most of which make no sense), and they continued a storyline that should have ended already.
Watch season 1. But, stop there, it's not worth the time. It's like watching the last season of Lost, the writers got bored with a good show and added some ridiculousness in because they wanted to.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Mindblowing!
I want to start this off by saying, J.J. Abrams is a legendary director and I wouldn't choose anyone else for this movie. It was a fantastic movie with fantastic acting and enough twists that you didn't expect anything. J.J. Abrams did extremely well wrapping the series up.
