Sen Çal Kapimi (2020)
The best Turkish rom com I have ever watched
There is just something about Eda and serkan that draws you in and you just can't get enough of them. The script in itself is amazing. The characters learn a lot about each other while being in this fake engagement, establishing a real genuine connection between them . We as audience get to learn about their interests, passions and hobbies. The cinematography is brilliant and transports you into a fairytale setting of these two opposite personalities. Moreover Hande and kareen have amazing chemistry and compliment each other so well onscreen
The Sinner: Part I (2020)
Intriguing premier to what looks to be a very thrilling third season
There are few shows that manage to hold the audience's attention for almost fifty minutes. The first episode of this season did a pretty amazing job of keeping my eyes glued to the screen. All the actors were perfect. Jamie's friend, Nick was quite convincing as the creepy guy with a dark past seemingly obsessed with their history at college. Jamie Burns (Matthew Bomer) was really good in bringing out the emotional turmoil going inside the character's head. The whole eerily gothic atmosphere created by the director made me feel like I was watching a dark Phsychological thriller. Spoiler Alert: The last few minutes of this episode explain the guilt trip jamie was having after the tragic accident . The cliffhanger has nicely paved the way and set the tone for the remaining episodes which will unravel the mystery surrounding the accident.10 OUT OF 10 FROM ME.
Sherlock (2010)
a modern take on our all time favorite sleuth
This series has it all... drama, mystery, wry humor and a very clever way of presenting the process of each investigation that Sherlock undertakes. Even the most bland episode "The Blind Banker" is so much better than the mundane endless American crime dramas. What sets this apart is the brilliant acting of Benedict Cumberbatch. He totally owns the show with his strong screen presence and the pure charisma that he seems to exude in each and every scene that he is in. Sherlock starts off as this eccentric closed off sleuth but over time undergoes gradual transition as a character though his encounters with characters like Moriaraty, Irene Adler and Magnusson. Benedict manages to capture that perfectly. A fun enjoyable series... 10 out of 10
Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012)
A true masterpiece in every sense
This series is one of those rare gems that you won't regret watching over and over again. This is coming from someone who loves watching complex and intelligent shows like lost, Sherlock, homeland etc. with mind-bending twists. Yet, it manages to entertain viewers like me and also instill many educative and social values which seem to be eroding these days with the passage of time. It is such a breath of fresh air from all the gloom, violence that we see unfolding everyday on our television screens. It is something that will always hold a special place in my heart and I won't mind revisiting it again and again. A special love story with so many lessons of life weaved into it. Top notch acting and direction. A true 10 out of 10 from me.............
