The Family Stone (2005)
The main point
The thread that suggests that the family hated Meredith states a good point. Everett's left brain is saying "This girl is a bad match; she is trouble". The fact that another thread that suggests Everett is boring may point to his lack of game but that is irrelevant. The left and right brains could not agree about her. When ellysway stated that Everett did not love her, be that as it may, the best reply is that it is exactly the way Meredith feels about him. If that is true, at least they are emotionally on the same page. Regardless, Sybil's real concern was that Everett would be miserable and if they did marry, it would end badly. She would always put her career first. By putting her own needs before Everett, he will always be second fiddle and will grow to resent that. He would feel neglected. Therefore, it was better to end things sooner rather than later when it would be messier. Everett needed to see clearly that there cannot be a future with Meredith.
Sex, Lies & Obsession (2001)
He shouldn't have gotten married
Cameron Thomas loves women, plain and simple. He was smart enough, thank goodness, to have an apartment of his own. In the moment he left his suitcase, if he just stopped and let his wife put it in the car, he would not have gotten busted. If, also, he said the right hotel, he would have saved himself a lot of trouble. Moreover, why and when did he start going to strip clubs or sleeping around? If it was insufficient to grab the suitcase and she still followed him, then he should have gotten candy or something for the kids or figured out a way to throw her off. If she spoke to him about it, maybe it would have been best to quit while he's ahead and file for divorce. He should have told the vice cop to get the hell out of the car. Even if he didn't and ended up in jail, he should have called Robert Gates or something instead of his wife. Instead of taking the plea bargain, because he was going to get divorced anyway and therefore, as far as that is concerned, he had nothing left to lose, he should have gone to open court; besides, the latter would be the "go big or go home" approach. Most importantly, though, unless he was not doing this stuff before getting married and he didn't get married too young and it did not start too soon into the marriage, he should not have gotten married. Additionally, he probably had the Madonna-whore complex. Additionally, I also theorize that an alternative possibility behind his behavior is a mid-life crisis. Considering his current age, that should not sound too far-fetched.
Student Seduction (2003)
Connection with Wild Things
Elizabeth Berkeley played a cool chick for a teacher. The one flaw is that it ended too soon. What we should have seen was whether Josh Gaines eventually makes it to school or ends up in juvenile hall and black- balled. However, most importantly of all, as Ken Bowden says, if you put a cool, attractive chick and Josh Gaines in front of a jury, "they're gonna look stupid. They know it". Even though it was Rochester and not Blue Bay, I still opine Ken Bowden would have done a far better job compared to the attorney hired. Anyone who watched Wild Things would see through Josh Gaines. In addition, the school administrators should have kept Wild Things in mind as well as Mary Kay Letourneau. If they did and they had half a brain, they would have seen straight through Josh Gaines' statement.
