Dispatches from Elsewhere: The Boy (2020)
Screw you
I am not a very open emotional person.
And even though I am still not 100% sure what I just experienced, I burst out in tears. all though it was all over the place
I will give this the full 10 stars because it was the most honost filmmaking I can remember viewing. (Not saying it was great) Yes it will take a moment to process, but the message is emotionally clear and it has, 15 minutes after watching it already helped me make a pretty serious life choice.
So screw you Jason Segel.... and thank you.
Evil: Book 27 (2020)
I want to say Hell yes!! But I guess thats inappropriate.
This show has had its ups and downs, but this episode is a great starting point to make the plot have some epic turns. I definitely recommend revisiting if you gave up on this show somewhere throughout the season like I almost did
Star Trek: Picard: Maps and Legends (2020)
no.. please.
Im reviewing this episode half way through so i can still give it 5 stars because I need, yes.. need this show to be good. the first episode was a great setup but what is Happening here. who wrote this incredibly bad dialog. how can you possibly make Patrick Steward act so bad.. ok. watching the second half now..
Ok, so the second half improved the plot development and this show has great potential, I know that like myself, many of you feel the same way about this.
because of the background and our love for the star trek universe and Jean Luc himself, the pressure is on and the writers must understand that we expect a lot.
But you CAN NOT, start a show called Star trek, Picard and expect us to accept weak written dialog like there was in this episode.
Jack Ryan (2018)
Yes, it does hit the spot
It has everything this genre needs going for it to make it good (maybe a tad predictable), what makes it great is the amazing casting job, especially John Krasinski as JR.
I cant remember rooting for a character more then I did for him these last two seasons. I dont like the term ''bingeworthy'' but I did binge the crap out of season 2 in two days.. so.. yeah.
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019)
Doesnt make any sense, but its ok in doing so
Plot holes, impossible tech, nonsense biological evolution.
it was a 4 up to 3/4 of the movie. the ending was a definite 8.
dont think too much about it, just see it for what it is and youll be fine
Unfriended: Dark Web (2018)
review for the log line
Call me a stickler, but the log line (or plot synopsis) should be an emotional "hook" to stimulate interest, and
''A teen comes into possession of a new laptop and soon discovers that the previous owner is not only watching him....''
tells me that there wasnt a lot of thought poured into it, because a new laptop can not have a previous owner.
It almost made me skip the movie which was rather creative and enjoyable. : )
Pandora (2019)
I would rather go back watching ''Another life''
Thats it, thats the whole review. If you havent had the pleasure. watch it and you will understand how much this one line review says
Another Life (2019)
What you want and what you get differs a bit
We can be short about this.
I really wanted it to be good, so much that I made it to episode 3
But it is horrible, best thing about it is its laughably horrible at some points.
Sorry Katey, I really wanted to reconnect with you.
