Chang Yue Jin Ming (2023)
Toxic relationship
Cdramas have a way of writing a plot for 40 ep instead of 20-25, which would have been better in this case. Loved the actor who played TTJ. But the relationship between TTJ and Ye Xiwu, miscommunication all the way... saying mean hurtful words to each other.
I had to fast forward a lot as the scenes kept repeating themselves. The second couple: Ye Xiwu's brother and the fox lady had a much more healthier relationship and loved to see them more on screen than the main couple.
Lots of plot holes.
And that evil bone was just passed between each other like a tennis ball.
And the way it ended, after all that sorrow, pain, sadness, suffering, TTJ deserved better.
I usually don't like spoilers, I just want to give a film a try, no matter the reviews, but for this one I would have preferred to know some spoilers to save my energy by not watching it.
I kept wishing things between them will get better, they'll communicate better as they grow in their relationship.

Dragging along
I strongly believe that condensing the series to 20 episodes from the original 36 would have greatly improved its quality. While each character led intricate lives, the connection between them felt lacking. Surprisingly, the second lead couple's storyline was more emotionally engaging than the main one.
Dylan's first TV series, 'Love Between a Fairy and a Devil,' set a high standard, which unfortunately none of his subsequent works (that I have watched) matched.
Despite the protagonist's numerous hardships across multiple lifetimes, the emotional impact of their separation failed to resonate with me. Dylan's performance also left something to be desired, with minimal emotional depth in his scenes.
The rushed ending was a letdown after 34 episodes of anticipation, failing to provide the closure I expected. Additionally, the lack of buildup and resolution regarding the heavens' punishment disappointed me.
Overall, I had hoped for more from the series, understanding that each CDrama has its unique plot and production team. While I don't expect a repeat of the same story, I did anticipate a more satisfying experience. However, these are my personal observations and preferences.

It's okayish
I have watched this movie because of Seo In-Guk. As this is a totally different role from what he usually acts on, I was really curious about it. From all that marketing and trailers, I thought he was the main character. Boy oh boy was I wrong!
At first the plot suggested him as main male role, only to kill him halfway through the movie.
The main strength about the movie, probably was considered all that 2.5 milion tons of blood. As I started to get bored at some point, I was expecting by now for everyone to be killed, the way this movie was going!
Some nice plot twists happened here and there, definitely part 2 is/was intended, but as the budget flopped even for domestic, I'm curious if they're still gonna film part 2.
And not to mention, the one that wanted for the ship to go to Korea still (Dong-Y J's character), could not kill that wolf machine. They needed someone else strong enough to do it, so they brought a badass team! They injected something in them. You'd think now you're in for a suprise... well, you're right! All that special team was killed by the character of Dong-Yoon Jang like they were mere puppets! But hold on, the character of Sung Dong-il, is a genetically modified human also, and kills that wolf machine, only to be killed by Don-YJ's character.
Ps, I can't remember if I've ever seen such a bloody movie. 18-rated for a korean movie is something out of ordinary and definitely worth watching for nonetheless.
Remarriage & Desires (2022)
Good
Good casting for some of the actors, although, I didn't feel any empathy, emotion towards anyone. It took me a while to care a little bit about main characters, and had to ff a lot, as some parts were unnecessary.
The build up just wasn't there and some scenes just unfinished and/or unbelievable. The storyline was good, and actors too, which made me try to finish it, otherwise I would have dropped it.
Everything is ridiculously censored, except for her husband's suicide.
Going back and forth with that marry me, no.. marry me... no.. marry me..
And the ending! Gave people what they wanted, but at the same time they didn't give people what they actually wanted.
You can barely see a struggle of emotion between the main characters. I did not even shed a tear when the daughter's accident happened.
Lots of rushed scenes..
So many movies nowadays are made for the sake of making them, but don't bother to put some effort into it to make you feel for those characters, to root for them. Finding a good movie today is like finding a needle in the haystack.

Mixed feelings
It had a good storyline, but it was too slow paced, I had to skip some of it.
All actors were well chosen, the chemistry between the main characters was quite good, one of the reasons I continued watching till the end. Loved the folklore around it, the scenery, there was a mystery aura to all of it.
The end was left open, probably they want to release a second season.
Loved the plot twist at the end of the season, did not expect that, although I should have.
Shahsus's clothing style was quite on point, as well as some of others.
The score is low on imdb, and I'd say I understand it to some extent, it definitely could've been more, but nonetheless is worth watching it. Hope the next season will make up for some holes from the first season.

Great movie!
But its not for everyone tho. Those with high expectations, who want a perfect movie, perfect plot, perfect spoken language, etc. you won't find it here, so don't waste your time.
The plot is not the best, but it is enjoyable and it is shown from her point of view, so she doesn't know too much or doesn't see everything that's going on, or doesn't understand all that's happening, so you will be in the same position as her. You'll see the movie through her eyes!
Of course those who speak "perfect" English might criticise the actors' language and/or accent, but for me it added originality to the movie as English is not my first language, and I happen to know how immigrants speak and behave in a foreign country, which is close to the movie's choice of English words and expressions.
A great percentage of those who's English is not their first language would have spoken at some point, a bad English, but this is normal and we should be more understanding and have some empathy.
I would love to see those who complain about the bad English, to try and speak the actors first language. I bet they'll speak it perfectly.
Overall, I watched this movie a few times. Soundtracks are catchy, They're both strong, but vulnerable as well, and passionate characters. Plus their acting is quite good, not perfect, but I never expect perfect. Perfect is boring.
