Tapestry (2019)
Tapestry is a heart-warming movie the entire family will love ...
Tapestry touches on themes everyone can identify with - life, family, love, work, redemption - woven into a tapestry of story that everyone should see. It's a heart-warming drama that keeps you engaged from beginning to end. I highly recommend it.
Fat Albert (2004)
2004's Fat Albert was so bad, I'm surprised Bill Cosby's name was attached to it
I grew up watching "Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids" and have always been a big fan of the show and of Bill Cosby. When I heard "Fat Albert" would be turned into a movie, I couldn't wait! However, the movie was a huge disappointment. I have a lot of respect for Bill Cosby and his talents, but I this movie thoroughly disappointed me. In fact, I was completely surprised that Bill Cosby had anything to do with this film, let alone it apparently had his seal of approval.
First, the basics were not even done up right. For one thing, the Fat Albert character looked so fake. Sure, his body was fat but his face wasn't fat. (It reminded me of the old "Honeymooners" episode where Ed Norton was dressed up like a fat man to scam a company out of some dough and Ralph Cramden told him his face didn't look fat.) Fat Albert simple didn't look real or believable, albeit he played a cartoon character who came to real life.
That deal where they started to fade wasn't appealing at all. The visually dull look each character took on certainly did not help an already dull movie.
The plot was boring and the dialog was not well thought out. The whole project looked rushed as if the creators simply tried to cash in quickly on the latest fad of turning old cartoon classics into movies (a la "Scooby Doo" - another bad shot at this craze). It simply wasn't believable.
The acting was okay but not for the characters we all remember and love. It appeared the actors were acting out other characters we never heard of. My advice is to stay at home and save your money on this one!
