Oppenheimer (2023)
Interesting but could be better
Oppenheimer portrais a very interesting time in history that you can't help but find intriguing, exciting and scary.
But I left the cinema thinking this movie could have been made in a hundred different ways, the way this movie was made isn't in the top 20 of best ways.
You are thrown into a story without an introduction to who and where, characters are not introduced properly, the movie jumps between 3 time periods without explaining that it does and when is what. Only half way through the movie I understand when the different time periods are.
The movie is extremely rushed, as a suspenseful scene thretched over the entire movie, without you being able to catch a breath. Scenes are rushed where dialogue seem fake, rushed and forced.
Unfortunately this movie is very poorly written. But because of the interesting topic it touches and good acting I give it a 7, as in it's intertaining. But wouldn't recommend people waste money on it in cinema.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Waste of time
What a complete waste of time. Typical American humor along the way, not funny at all. Getting a headache from all the stupid dialogue. Only thing good about this is Leonardo Dicaprios performance and the 3D graphics.
Dune (2021)
Amazing
Amazing story, visuals, clothing, acting and casting, filming, scenery. I sat on the edge of the cinema chair for 2.5 hours and wanted more when it ended. Insanely well made, very surprised. Looking forward to part II already 🤓
Anna (2019)
Entertaining
Although I was confused at times since the movie sometimes wanted to be a serious spy thriller and other times a silly spy comedy, it was still entertaining with twists from beginning to end.
WeWork (2021)
Poorly executed
This should have been a 30-minute documentary. WAY too much time was used to talk about the WeWork atmosphere and business, over an hour. And only a few minutes about the downfall. In fact the two most disturbing things Adam Neumann did as CEO of WeWork (buying the buildings personally and leasing them to WeWork, and withdrawing 700 million USD right before and IPO) was mentioned for a total of 2 seconds! Like wtf.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
What a complete mess
A complete mess, stupid storyline, so many things that dont make sense.
Project Power (2020)
If you got nothing better to do, sure
Nice visuals, cinematography, acting and sometimes fun to watch. But far from great. Who in their right minds use Casey Neistat and his brother for movies with this budget... embarrassing.
Defending Jacob (2020)
Amazing
Great storytelling with amazing images. Gave 9 because of the open ending. I would have hoped to feel certain of Jacobs involvement at the end.
Focus (2015)
Bad
Entertaining but full of silly plot holes and unrealiatic.
Killing Eve (2018)
Could have been much better
It starts out interesting. But then it just goes on and on and on in the same path and it geta quite boring.
It's hard to watch MI6 agents be so utterly incompetent.
Jodie Comer does a great job.
Sandra Oh needs to go back to acting school.
6 Underground (2019)
Pointless action
They must assume the viewer has an IQ of 50. Too much pointless action, firecrackers going off, stupid oneliners, guy doing parkour for absolutely no reason, getaway car in bright green +100 other stupid things.
Klaus (2019)
Very good
Very well written! Which makes all the difference.
Unlocked (2017)
Horrible
Full of clichés and unrealistic/dumb scenes. The writers/directors does not have high thoughts of their viewers intelligence.
Joker (2019)
A masterpiece
It's not often a movie makes an impact on me. In fact it's close to rare.
"Joker" is a unique masterpiece in so many ways. I am absolutely blown away by the acting, music, cinematography, script, makeup, and the whole feel this movie has. It's dark, sad and very realistic. It does a great job at showing the viewer, a story of a troubled mind, and answers the question "What if the joker lived in our world. How would he have gotten there. What could push a person so far out, and hate society so much".
The scary thing is, you can really relate to his journey.
Wonderful job everyone on the team of this movie.
And kudos to DC Comics for daring to make this movie.
Thank you.
