Jessica Simpson is back better than ever
8 October 2006
It was ab enjoyable movie, all the actors seem to play off well. Our story begins at a convenient store where Vince has been Employee of the Month 18 times, and there's Zack a box boy who bosses are lucky he does any work, Vince constantly mocks Zack because he is on more on top than Zack is. Then comes the beautiful Amy, it is rumored that she has a thing for Employee of the Month, now Zack has to get his together on the job in hopes to get Employee of the Month and hopefully get the girl, but will Vince bet him to it? This was an enjoyable comedy. There was funny jokes and enjoyable slap-stick. Believe me you will not be bored.

A fun enjoyable road trip
1 October 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I really like baseball movies like Bad News Bears and Rookie of the Year and this movie was right up there with them. It was fun for the whole family, it was wonderfully witty and wonderful animation. The film takes place in New York City at the time when Babe Ruth was big in baseball. A nine year old kid named Yankee Irving discovers that Babe Ruth famous bat has been stolen, and his dad has been framed for it. Yankee and his talking ball set out to retrieve the bat. When they finally stole the bat back, Yankee, talking bat and ball set out on a road trip to get to Babe Ruth, with the thief not too far behind their trail, let's hope they can make it before it's too late. All I can say is go see this movie, you won't be disappointed.

Miami Vice (2006)

the t.v. series was better
10 September 2006
We all remember the adventures of Crockett and Tubbs on the classic series Miami Vice, each week they would catch bad guys drug dealers and murders. I would call that show a classic, unlike the movie. I really had a hard time seeing the 2 leads in the roles of Crockett and Tubbs, I really missed Don Johnston and Philip Michael Thomas from the t.v. series. This movie would have been more entertaining if it resembled more of the t.v. series when the movie was made. The movie itself was too badly dragged out, it was a boring as it could come. The scenery of Miami was great, but the scenery of Charlie Angels in California was better. I wouldn't see again.

super fun
10 September 2006
A fun romantic comedy mixed with awesome special effects. The story begins with Matt Sanders a young architect, begins a relation with Jenny an art dealer who is secretly the superhero G-Girl, who pretty much has the same powers as Superman. Their relationship seems to be going well, until she begins to hate his friend and co-worker name Hanna. She soon becomes jealous and possessive of Matt, and it soon becomes clear that this relationship is over. Matt tries to let her down nicely, but Jenny becomes angry, and wants revenge on him. We wonder how Matt gets out of this one, lets hope it won't be the end of him. You'll have to see the movie to find out what happens.

Living the American Dream in the NFL
10 September 2006
This movie reminds us that it's never too late to live your dream. For anybody that wants to give up on their goal in life, remember Vince Papale. In 1976, Vince Papale is a big Phili fan, but his life slowly falls apart, his wife of five years leaves him and loses his job as a substitute high school teacher, although he was night time bartender, it doesn't seem enough for him. Then the coach for the Philis' named Dick Vermiel decides to try some new talents by having try outs for the team, Vince decides to give it a try, but after Vince displays amazing football skills than most of the try outers, he is asked to come to sports camp. But Vince is worried that he won't do it well, I guess you'll have to see the movie to find out the rest. A truly great sports movie next to Replacements.

Zoom (2006)

I liked Spy Kids, The Incredibles, and Sky High. But Zoom is none of the above.
10 September 2006
At least Tim Allen was funnier in this movie, then he was in Christmas with the Kranks. But the movie its self doesn't have much going for it,but the special effects were alright but not spectacular, and everybody else in the movie is annoying instead of being funny. The story begins with a retired superhero named Captain Zoom, who is known as the fastest man on earth, is called back to help train a new group of young superheros. I wouldn't waste my money to see this again, I was expecting more and got less in return. The effects in Spy Kids and Sky High were 10 times better, at least the characters in those movies were more interesting. I rather watch Spy High again.

if you enjoyed Dirty Dancing you'll love Step Up
10 September 2006
An enjoyable dancing movie that made me want to stand up and cheer. It had great music and great dancing. This movie begins with Tyler Gage, an 18 year old whose life never seem too easy, but Tyler is an amazing dancer. One night while out with friends he ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, he soon gets arrested and he is told by the court that he must be a janitor at a music school for his committee service. During that time he notices the beautiful dancer Nora Clark. One day Nora notices what a great dancer Tyler is. Something happens to Nora's dance partner, and she really needs a partner before opening night. After so many tri-outs with no luck, Tyler ask for a try, she lets him try out. When he does it very well, they soon become dance partners, but will they last. My favorite next to Dirty Dancing. The two leads were great. This movie will be enjoyable for a life time to come.

it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's CHOMPS
23 July 2006
The most enjoyable pet movie since Scooby Doo and Garfield. The story revolves around a 23 year old inventor named Brian Foster whose systems at his boss's company seems to keep failing, Brian is also dating the boss's daughter named Casey. But Brian secretly invented a robotic dog named CHOMPS, modeled after his own dog Rascal. But CHOMPS is no ordinarily dog, he is as fast as a cheetah, he has x-ray vision, can leap about 6 feet, and has a strength of 20 men. The new invention impresses his boss, and makes his business a success. But when the company rivals hear about CHOMPS, they try to find a way to capture him. Can CHOMPS outwit them before its too late. This movie is a classic for all ages.

a monstrous joy able ride
23 July 2006
A good tale of horror and humor. Three kids discover that a house across the street is cursed, because anybody gets too near it seem to disappear. When adults don't believe them, or they think they're paranoid. The kids go to a expert on super natural things, and tells the kids that they must go inside and discover where the heart is inside the house, in hopes it will put an end to the evil forever. So the kids decide to do that, but will they destroy the house if it doesn't destroy them first? The best animation since Polar Express, it should have been released during Halloween time. But still a good movie. But not as good as Polar Express.

Little Man brings the big laughs
23 July 2006
Darryl is a man wants to eagerly have a kid, and hopes to be a great father one day. But his wife Vanessa work schedule doesn't have the time. But Darryl's life at home seems to be annoying at times because his wife's cranky whinny dad lives with them and seems to cut Darryl no slack about anything. That all changes one day when a known thief named Calvin drops a priceless diamond in Vanessa's bag at a drug store. After he and his partner named Persy escape a robbery. In order to get the diamond back, and Calvin is the height of a one year old, Calvin pretends to be a baby left on their door step. They take him in, and that's all I will tell. Let me tell to be prepared for a wild ride of laughter. This movie somewhat reminds me of Bringing Down the House in ways. So check this movie out if you are ready for some laughter.

But things start getting crazy as Dupree unknowingly becomes the house guest from hell. We wonder how will Carl and Molly work around this? Poseidon (2006)

the biggest sinker of 2006
23 June 2006
A somewhat remake of 1972 film of Poseidon adventure. You remember the story of a luxury cruise ship, that is turned upside down by a gigantic wave. Now its 2006 and I went to see this version, hoping it would be somewhat good, boy was I wrong, I felt like sinking the ship because it was incredibly bad. The special effects was at a all time low, the characters seem to do this movie somewhat justice. Josh Lucas and Kurt Russell seem to give decent performances, but they cannot save this movie from sinking. I don't know why I stayed threw this whole movie, I guess I wanted to see what happens next, now I wish I didn't. This movie was a waste of time and money.

the prince and the fat cat
23 June 2006
I enjoyed this movie just as much as the first one. Bill Murray is amazing as he returns as the voice of Garfield. It all begins mostly about a month after the first movie left off. Garfield and Odie follow Jon to London, because Jon wants to propose to Liz. But little does Garfield know, there's a royal cat named Prince who just inherited a million, and he looks just like Garfield. But an unfortunate event that occurs, that the two-look-a-like cats switch places, so Garfield is living as a king, as Prince is rooming with Jon and Odie. Will they switch back before its too late. This movie was just as entertaining as the first movie. This movie will inspire animal lovers just as well as the first movie did.

Bad News Bears was funnier
21 May 2006
It wasn't that bad, I'll give the film makers effort for trying, the three main characters were pretty funny, but as the film went on it became one bad joke, silly gags that wasn't making me laugh. As this movie went on it made me put my hand over my face and wait for the movie to be over. This movie starts out with three friends named Gus, Clark, and Richie, three guys pretty much get no respect from anybody. But one day they end up helping a kid who was being bullied, by playing them at a game of baseball. By miracle they beat those jerks, but it soon doesn't end there as they become a target from a bunch of big shots who really want to beat them. If you want a baseball comedy buy the Bad News Bears instead.

This movie puts Bring It On in its place.
21 May 2006
This movie begins with 18 year old Haley Graham, whose parents are idiots, after a run in with the law and being a ex-gymnast, she is sent to gymnastic academy led by the strict but calm coach Bert Vickerman. But Haley does not seem to get respect from her team mates, while Haley doesn't seem to respect them either. Can Haley get it together with her team mates so they all could become winners. This movie goes the level that Bring It On wouldn't go, I won't say what it is, you'll have to see the movie. This movie had incredible gymnastic scenes, it also was well acted by everyone in the film. I can't wait to own it on DVD. This movie is one for those who are interested in gymnastics.

Queen Latifah at her funniest
15 January 2006
I enjoyed her in this movie, as much as I enjoyed her in Bringing Down The House. She plays Georgia Byrd a cashier clerk in New Orleans. She lives a simple life, she hopes to be known as a great chef one day. She has a crush on one of her co workers named Shawn Mathews who she hopes to marry one day. But then one day her life suddenly changes, when bumps her head and is knocked out for an hour, when the doctors give her a brain scan, and is shocked to find out that there is a tumor growing inside her brain which means she has no less than three weeks left of her life. But doesn't waste time sulking for long, she decides to quit her job, take out the extra money in the bank. Begins to live life to the fulliest, she takes a trip out of country. She checks into a famous hotel and that's all I'll tell you. I really don't want to spoil the movie for you but will tell you it's very entertaining. Queen Latifah was fun to watch.

more families, and more fun
15 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Our favorite family of 12 is back, more comedic adventure and misadventure. Tom Baker (played by the very funny Steve Martin) decides to take his family on vacation in the wilderness. This maybe the last time the whole Baker family take a vacation together, because of two of his daughters are moving away. One is pregnant and expecting soon, and the other just graduated from high school and leaving to go to college in Chiciago. But these things are going to become the least of his worries when his rival Jimmy Mertaugh who is a billionaire seems to think he is better than Tom at everything. Then this starts a funny competition that will have you laughing out of your seat. Steve Martin was ten times funnier in this one than the first one. This was also better than the first one.

An enjoyable remake of the original Brady Bunch. The story begins with the widower named Frank Beardsley a strict naval officier, and doting dad of eight kids. Who just moved back to his old neighborhood to teach at a naval academy. Enter Helen White a widow, who is not as strict, but a doting mom to her ten kids, six of which are adopted. When these two meet up, we learn they were high school sweethearts. They both go to their high school reunion on a cruise, and both begin to fall in love again, when they both discover they both have big families, they elope and decide that his kids and her kids will be one big happy family, but making a family with 18 children is going to take a lot of work. fun rolling with Bow Wow
16 October 2005
My favorite Bow Wow movie next to Like Mike. This movie takes place in the summer of 1978, 16 year old Xavier(Bow Wow) enjoys skating and spending time with his friends, but this year has its set backs, his mother died a few months earlier, his favorite skating ring is closing down, and his father has been cold and distance from him. But one day Xavier and his friends go to another skating ring, but they are mocked by an awesome skater named sweetness and his gang. Xavier and his friends decide to enter an skate off contest to show them they're just as good. This movie had great skating scenes, and it also had great 70's music. I really enjoyed watching this movie, I loved Bow Wow's performance, I think he's growing as an actor. I can't wait to own this on DVD.

The Dukes of Hazzard (1979–1985)
fighting the system like a true modern day robin hood
14 August 2005
This series was great fun to watch. It had comedy, action all thrown into one good hour a week. It takes place in Hazard County, cousin Bo and Luke Duke has the fastest car in Hazard County, called General Lee, an orange race car, with the letter 01 on both sides. They live with their uncle Jesse and their fancy cousin Daisy. But the dukes found an enemy with Boss Hogg and his dumb sheriff Rossco P. Coltrain, who they both were looking to get at the dukes any way they could. It was always fun to watch the General Lee in action, in watching the comedy of Boss Hogg and Rosco P. Coltrain. I enjoyed the movie, just as much as the show.

them duke boys ride high in 2005
9 August 2005
We all remember the 70's show, of course we do but I'll save that for another review. I was so excited to see this get to the big screen. This movie was one fun ride after another. The movie starts out with the duke boys who of course are Bo and Luke, who are preparing for a big race in Hazard County. But the corrupt politician named Boss Hog and his dumb sheriff named Rosco P. Coltraine have something sneaky up their sleeves. When Bo and Luke slowly begin to stumble upon what they're up to, Boss Hog has every law man in Hazard County to track the boys down but can they out run the General Lee. But will Bo and Luke get into a bigger mess that they will need their Uncle Jesse and Daisy. You will have to see the movie to find out. I had a fun time watching this movie. I can't wait for this to come out on DVD.

not totally bad , but not totally great
7 August 2005
I liked Spy Kids better than this movie. I just liked this movie for its action, and the amazing effects. But other than that this movie was a total drag, for its unfunny jokes, and its really lame acting. Don't get me wrong this was a good idea, it should have been better in those spots. This movie tried to be appealing as Spy Kids, but it gets an effort for trying. The movie starts out with Max, an 11 year old. He is picked on a lot, because he tells the stories of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, who everybody says they don't exist. But Max believes they do. Until one day Sharkboy and Lavagirl ask for help. Is it real, or is it his imagination?

Heroes to be, have to get through high school first.
7 August 2005
Imagine if your parents were two powerful superheroes, what impact it would have on your own life. That's what 14 year old Will Stronghold has to answer. His parents are Steve and Josie Stronghold, they are known real estate agents, but when the world is in danger, they become The Commander who is as strong as a dozen men. Jetstream who can fly at supersonic speed. Beginning of a new school year, and Will is starting at Sky High. A school that trains and teaches superheroes to be. But Will is not sure he has super powers, and may get labeled as a side kick. Can Will rise above that, and become the hero he was meant to be? I enjoyed the awesome effects, and the action, and the actors. It also had great humor. To viewers if you enjoyed Spy Kids and The Incredibles then you will love Sky High.

baseball mayhem at its best
7 August 2005
I've never seen the 70's version, but I'm sure it was just as good. The story begins with down and out of luck exterminator named Morris Buttermaker, who use to be an awesome baseball player, these days he is washed up, he can't go a single day without getting drunk. But he soon gets a chance to revive himself. When he is asked to coach a pre-teen baseball team. But the problem is that they are a bunch of misfits, who lack any baseball skills, and seems to have no confidence in winning. Can Morris bring them up to a winning streak, and give them confidence? Billy Bob Thorton was very funny as Morris, he played off the kids very well. The kids were also funny.
