The movie's cast is what probably saved this rating because the editing and the story was all over the place. It's as if scenes were rushed to not make it a 3 hour movie in order to tell a story about what we look like as a country recently.
It's obviously one sided, but to be fair it's pretty obvious you'd choose the "Look Up" side when coming to a decision. The movie is extremely accurate when it comes to conveying the relationship between science and politics; moreover, it demonstrates the world we live in when it comes to unruly leaders and arrogant people.
All in all, the movie gets a 7/10 although it's pushing the genre of comedy a little too far and Adam McKay'a reinvention of "The Big Short" with a death defying asteroid as its substitution. It's a movie to watch, but not a movie that will be remembered; especially not for DiCaprio, who I would never picture playing a role like this one.
