Shooter: Primer Contact (2017)
As far as a finale goes, it ticked a lot of boxes for me.
I was overall impressed by Shooter's first season despite a few bumps and mistakes here and there. I guess they can be excused given it's the show's first season and hopefully the next ones will keep getting better. Not really sure what season 2 holds for us but it looks promising. The finale introduces us to Mrs. Gregson. A character that I suspect will be involved with whatever BLS will deal with in season 2. I guess If I had to sum it up, the finale ties up loose ends, gives us a kind of a "happy ending" but it left me with doubt as to how they will continue the show. Overall my impressions were good for this season. I do hope however that the next one will bring more complex plot, more interesting characters and it will hopefully remove the plot armor many characters had, maybe justifiably, this season.
Limitless: Hi, My Name Is Rebecca Harris (2016)
Limitless starts to wrap things up for what it proved to be a fun first season.
Starting out the episode and watching Rebecca talking about her early life made me think about how we never really got to see more of her personal life in the show until now. I mean sure, you could argue that her relationship and her motive for joining the CJC were shown but we hadn't had an idea of what her relationship with her father really was.
We see Brian finally admitting to everything that Rebecca had suspicions and then some. She did the thing most of us would have and took the pill she had that was meant for Brian so she could clear her head and collect her thoughts.
Personally I didn't like so much the way Sands was handled in the last few episodes but I guess I can understand where they are going with it wanting to set up a season 2 "baddie". And again, you might argue that Sands appears to be in custody and should be behind bars but I do not think they will get rid of him that easy and I firmly believe he will be the season 2 antagonist. This is again, my opinion on the matter.
Finally a thing I liked about this episode was Brian's and Rebecca's discussion about the NZT side effects. Seeing double, the voices in their heads, sweater Brian and leather jacket Brian and of course, Rebecca's father, who , in my opinion seemed kind of out of place but again I kind of understand considering Brian's explanation of how NZT is fragmenting a problem into deviating perspectives.
Last but not least, I want to see Brian and Rebecca get it going, and in the last minutes of the episode I feared they were gonna ham- fist a romantic scene but thankfully they avoided that. I think the writers know that forcing a love interest into either Brian's or Rebecca's life would be a dumb thing to do so early in the show.
PS: I got a weird feeling that Boyle works for Morra but I might be wrong.
