Stupid and fabricated!
29 August 2023
When it comes to houman seyedi as a director he can't stop imitating some directors from guy ritchie to inarito, some French filmmakers and etc. But he is just a fabricator, with no sense of creativity in his imitations he himself turns his films into some second or even third hand fabricated pieces of what? Can we call them art? Film? Movie? Whatever, if someday somebody (Picasso) said that a great artist steals, this is the act of burglary that matters, how you steal, with tenderness like a maestro or just like a little kid who's hungry for a piece of candy! (You can read it attention or whatsoever!) And what I just wrote isn't only about this piece of ?! It's aboul all of his works in almost every aspect.

Through the oblivion of filmmaking!
21 July 2023
Despite it's sudden ending I really liked the idea and approach of this film 🎥 Shooting process which is always combined with high tension and anxious atmosphere, here mixed up with tones of humor based on problems that may occur for any team during shooting. It's creative narrative also makes this film a good but definitely not perfect example of independent filmmaking. The team made a good use of both black and white and color negative which is at first probably due to short budget. But despite all these facts that makes watching this film an amusing and interesting experience, it's sudden ending made a negative effect on me, don't worry it isn't that bad but during the film my expectations got higher and higher that when the ending occured I was a little dissatisfied. But I'm sure anybody can enjoy watching this film.

I didn't like the Film at all!
19 September 2021
Lottery starts just like any other regular Iranian love cinema movie with too much love without any touching and lots of dialogues but it's still okay, Working with cliche.

But i have a major problem with Mahdavian's cinema and that is working with too much heart breaking scenes and looping a feeling over and over in order to make audience pity the characters yes i believe in this and i also believe that even in his master work mid time event he uses this kind of work witch i do not personally like. I rather watching a decent movie and don't like it than watching a melodrama and i like it only for few days due my sensitive nerve!!

Beside all this, the story is a little bit loose and simple. And the ending?? So nationalistic! I didn't like it at all.

a Good Comedy
19 September 2021
Despite it's ending, The Compromise (Sazesh) is a nice piece of comedy in roll play sub-genre. If you are up to Iranian Cinema especially prerevolution Iranian Cinema it's a good choice and definitely worth to watch. Of course as i said the ending is a total confuse that i wasn't even sure if it's the right copy or i just watched a smashed copy. That's still a question for me.

Great Cinematography, good experience and more!
16 August 2020
Despite it's cinematographic achievement and great music the script and in some parts even the directing wasn't that much good. the dedication of cinematographer in horror genre specially Japanese horror cinema was very interesting and helped a lot for creating the atmosphere. as an Iranian cinema lover it was a joyful experience watching this film, but also reminded me the weakness of screen writing in my country's cinema or at least the weakness of story and plot developing.
