Unfaithfully Yours (1948)
Well done, funny, classic!
I was a young teenager babysitting two adopted boys when this movie was the Saturday Night Movie selection on TV. I found it hysterical, at the time. I couldn't stop talking about how funny it was, urging my friends to remember the name and watch it if it came on TV again. Then I forgot the name of it! And I couldn't remember the name of any actor in it, not that even with a name I'd have been able to find it easily in the 1960s or 1970s. The next time I watched it, somewhere in the 1980s, I think, it didn't seem half as funny as it had the first time. Then again, it might have been the remake I watched. All these years later, I still remember the joy and laughter it brought the first time I watched it. I will watch it again one of these days, when I'm home alone, and the little girl in me comes out to play again.
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
My only regret is that it isn't longer
Interesting story line, excellent cast, excellent performances, excellent music. I've never been a fan of musicals, and I adore this movie to the point of occasionally re-watching it. I wait long enough between screenings to forget as much as possible, so I can watch it almost as if new. I'm never disappointed. I absolutely would and HAVE recommended it to friends.
