Lists
An error has ocurred. Please try again* CONFIRMED LESBIAN/BISEXUAL - This list does NOT include characters whose sexuality is simply implied. All are depicted as lesbian/bisexual. Therefore I have not included Titles like 'Fried Green Tomatoes'
* TRANS - This list does NOT include Trans Men i.e those who identify and live full-time as male. Therefore, I have not included Titles like 'Boys Don't Cry' or 'Romeos'
* QUALITY - Please do not blame me if any of the films are terrible. I am simply trying to compile as extensive a list as possible for those that identify, or are attracted to any of the lesbian 'types' mentioned.
* MAIN CHARACTER - I have tried to make a list with films where the lesbian character(s) is/are the main protagonists, as opposed to just a secondary character.
* FILM CONTENT - I have not seen all of the films on the list. I apologise if I have included films with objectionable content. * DESCRIPTORS - I do not necessarily like all of the descriptors that I have used in the List Title, but used them in the absence of anything better that people would be familiar with.
This is not all the Films and Shows that I have watched, simply those that i have bought.
I have not included films/shows where a LGBT character is just part of an ensemble cast, and not the main character i.e Dallas Buyers Club, My So-Called Life.

Most obviously, that the accused were released in 2011.
There are also post-release interviews (one off camera), with all three released men.
The progress of DNA
Validation/dismissal/discovery of witnesses.
and so many other things that i can't mention without literally giving spoilers.
As for the 'host' who as a trained fire investigator, with proven skills as a crime investigator, is more than just a host. He speaks coherently and passionately to camera. Nor does he use jargon that would exclude the audience, when he consults with fellow crime/investigation professionals.
Of course, much of the media and court footage has been seen before but it is impossible to avoid showing this if one is to tell the story from beginning up to the current point - 2019. However there is much new footage, and often the older footage was used in a different context - if you watch then you will see what i mean.
Autlo (2019)
=== Don't Be Tempted By Description And The Pic!! Attempts 'Arthouse' But Just Weird And Messy! ===
I can only think that the relatively high rating is for the nudity, or the sex, which just looks ridiculous (except perhaps, for one solo scene), and not exciting in the slightest.
Weird introduction to start with, and if you get past that then well done.
Lots of long dialogues about how an artist, or writer or their work, is a metaphor for certain situations. Very pretentious with lots of swirling about, singing boring songs and then random violence.
The description probably leads you to think that there will be a sort of love story between the two guys, but there is simply intimidation, anger and abuse.
None of the 'plots' (and i use that word in VERY loose terms) come to anything, and it is just frustrating, tedious and messy.
Tatuagem (2013)
STUNNED!! Did everyone else watch a different film?
This is one of the worst films that i have ever watched.
The length and pretentiousness of the many, many 'performance art' scenes are tortuous.
They are also largely pointless since the spend a good deal of the film verbally making their objections know to censorship and the potential closure of their venue. Then they spend more time making costumes and songs. (Not spoilers as this info is in the film synopsis on most sites)
Please make it end!!
Oh, and just incase anyone may be thinking that my understanding is not sophisticated enough to understand the nuances of the film. Firstly, i have studied Film Studies and Critical Analysis. Secondly, there aren't any nuances.
I can only imagined people rated highly for the almost constant stream of nudity. Yes, you can get bored of seeing full frontal nudity, even if some of the people are relatively attractive
Love Lives On (1985)
Expect The Obvious
As soon as we see the outcome of her fall in the lake we can guess the rest of the story. From the moment Brian lifts his head from under the bonnet of the car, we know that we were right.
It is a plot that we have seen on TV dramas, soaps and chat shows probably hundreds of times but this was one of the earlier instances, and probably less predictable on it's initial showing.
Despite knowing where the plot is leading us, the journey is no less interesting or entertaining (if that is the correct word). It raises several moral dilemmas but does so without being judgemental or dogmatic.
The acting is exceptional from some really classy leads and this raises it above 'movie of the week' fare. However, there are two things that fight to bring it down again. One is the completely unsubtle use of the oversentimental music. At times it is like being screamed at to CRY NOW! The other is the films descent into all out schmaltz towards the end. It made the scenes feel like it was just following the formula for 'weepies'. It would have been far more moving to have left us with a raw and realistic ending - though in the 80s, TV filmmakers were less likely to take those risks.
Ruby (2008)
Depends What You Want From The Show
For those wanting facts, figures, statistics and advice, this isn't really the show for you. If you are wanting a show that focuses on the psychological cause of a persons obesity, again this isn't the show for you. There are elements of those things in 'Ruby' but they are not the purpose of the show.
The reason that i love the show, and that it has been such a help to me, is that it just follows the everyday life of a lovely woman on her weightloss journey.
So many of the things that are minor issues on weightloss shows are actually major issues in the life of obese people, and this programme shows that. Accessing building, sitting on the sidelines while your friend take part in activities, standing in waiting rooms because the seats are too small etc etc. The show allows us to celebrate each small struggle and victory along with Ruby. Buying her first pair of jeans is very emotional to watch.
We are all used to seeing people fighting, and winning the weightloss battle. With Ruby, the empathy factor is huuge, because her experiences are our experiences. When she struggles for so long and then overcomes, we feel that we can overcome.
It is rare in the it shows that concerns and experiences of the family, friends and professionals who go along on the journey with her.
V (2009)
FIRST EPISODE - Don't compare to the original.
My main criticism is that there was no real introduction to characters, to make us care about them when things started happening. All the events happened and moved so quickly that there was no sense of foreboding, then suspicion, then fear and shock like with the original. All the events of the first 2-3 episodes of the original series were crammed into the first 30 mins of the first episode.
As my favourite ever show, any comparisons to the original were going to reflect negatively on the remake. Now i have seen episode two, i would advise people to not even think of it a a remake. Just enjoy the show as an original programme.
Robin Hood (2006)
Give The show A Chance.
Too often these days a show is written off after, or even during the first series, without being given the opportunity to learn from its mistakes and improve.
I agree that the most interesting thing about this show is the sexual subtext of Gisbourne's lust for Marion. (Oh and the cute girl dressed as a boy, but less about that for now). However, there are nuggets of quality there, that can no doubt be improved upon with better direction, funnier scripts with better plots and more action.
The show may not be as good as Dr.Who that was also resurrected after a break, and may have also increased anticipation for this show itself, but let's give it a second chance. After all this is far better than some dire Dale Winton game show.
