DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Meet the Legends (2020)

So stupid that it's funny
25 January 2020
Legends started a downward spiral when it started moving away from the style show of Flash, Arrow and Supergirl and became more comic relief. Instead of continuing on this path, it looks like they have embraced the stupid comedy and pushed for over the top that is so stupid it's hilarious. This is my favorite Legends episode in years.

Batwoman (2019–2022)

I keep wanting this show to improve
4 December 2019
Simply put, this is not a very good show. It's a Batman show without Batman. Which is ok, but every show we are reminded that Batman is not there and that Kate Kane is not him.

Brightest point of the show is Alice. I love this take on her character. Rachel Skarsten is a good actress who gives this character a lot of depth. She also stared in Bird of Prey years back if anyone remembers that one (stream it on CW-Seed). Birds of Prey was better than this show, and it's almost 20 years old.

Dougray Scott is a great actor and is the only other a bright point, but it written very poorly.

Darkest point of the show is everything else.

I don't see it sticking around unless major improvements are made.

It was good

Warning: Spoilers
It's a very enjoyable movie. The acting is fantastic, the special effects are outstanding, there are more characters, bigger fights and a lot of laughs that make this a good movie.

I just didn't like it as much as the other films in the MCU. I didn't think it was believable story based upon the character development we have seen on screen. The story makes complete sense if you are familiar with the comics and slowly get to the Civil War, but to think that these characters would form two opposing groups so quickly after fighting together as tight knit team to save the world multiple times is a little puzzling if you are only watching the films.

This movie also seemed more focus on the Avengers team instead of heavily focused on Cap. Since this is the third of his stand alone films, I felt the story line should have been a little more focus on him instead of making him just one of supporting characters. Tony Stark seemed to be the major focus of the film. He also had the most character development with conflict and resolution within himself. There are just some actors that take the spotlight when in a movie, and when Robert Downey Jr. is in the film for the major portion, the focus is drawn to him. That's not a bad thing, but when the movie is titled "Captain America: Civil War" you would expect the focus to be on Cap.

As far as the story of this film goes, Tony Stark is the biggest surprise. Stark leading the fight to have government control over the Avengers just doesn't make sense with his character development in the films. He has always been against government control. In almost every movie, even this one, his character is one that doesn't want to be controlled by anyone, yet he is the leader for government control. Just doesn't make sense.

My name is actually Steve G. Rogers, so I love practically everything Captain America, but just didn't love this one. I liked it, but just didn't love it.

This movie accomplished something impossible
28 January 2018
For decades thousands of fans around the world have been wishing for third Ghostbusters movie. For one reason or another, it just never happened. We were mildly satisfied with a video game a few years back, but still wanted another live action. This movie silenced that cry. In fact, I think a lot of the silence were the viewers wondering what they just sat through. The rest of that silence was a feeling of remorse for wishing for another Ghostbuster movie. I'm not sure anyone wants another live action Ghostbuster film after this tragedy of a film. You can't unwatch a film.

So Hollywood, on behalf of the thousands of 1 star votes, I'm sorry for wanting another Ghostbusters movie. Please don't do that to any other of our favorite film franchises. We've learned out lesson.

To those of you out there that haven't seen this film but loved the original, just walk away. Turn off the dvd/bluray player or digital download. This is a kindness that I'm giving to you. Trust the thousands of 1 star votes over the handful of higher ratings.

It did have a redeeming quality, the cameos from the original film. Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts all had small parts. Even the Hook & Ladder Company 8 Firestation as well as a bust of Harold Ramis (RIP) made it into the film.
