Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes (2022)
Not Enough Gacy
If ur looking to hear about Gacys murders in detail u won't. There is 60 hours worth of tape and they let us listen to about an hour of it. And it was nothing that good. I watched this on netflix and it was well disappointing. I had just watched the Dahmer one and the tiniest part of it where they showed Gacy was loads better than this entire documentary and that was like 5 minutes in one episode.
The show is really about the cops who caught him and the lawyers that defended him.
Gacy apparently told this lawyer about every murder in detail on these tapes. If I remember correctly we heard about only two. I learnt more about him from Wikipedia than I did from watching this. I don't even remember them talking about the clown costumes.
The only thing I really learned from watching this and reading wiki is that if I was to wake up handcuffed and naked I'd rather it be in Dahmers basement than in Gacys.
The Butterfly Effect (2004)
It's good
This film is sooo good. I haven't seen it for years and it is still as good as I remember from many many years ago. I was still gripped and Tommy is still scary. I do recommend u watch it.
It's the sort of film u will find urself pondering about when ur sat on the toilet and u forgot ur phone. It's an interesting concept. Change one thing from the past and see how different present life turns out. Could be better or it could be worse but would i wanna be able to do it?
Only going back within my own life means I probably won't be able to change the world or stop some travesty and my childhood was wonderful, so I suppose it would be for purely selfish reasons if I did it. Go back and play the lottery. Go back and keep all my old cars. There's lots of things I would like to change and I'm sure my present would be better for it. So yeah, I'd use it quite a lot. One thing I wouldn't change tho is watching this film. It's really good.
Overdrive (2017)
Gone in 60 seconds for 12 year olds.
Completely unbelievable as a story but as a movie it is still terrible. It's basically a rip off of gone in 60 seconds for 12 year olds. Really nice locations, really nice cars, bad script, bad acting and a standard format; The, steal-cars-from-really-really-bad-guys-so-the -other-really-really-bad-guys-that-we-stole-cars-from-dont-kill-us-for-stealing-his-cars-then-outsmart-both-massive-international-criminal-empires-and-get-away-squeaky-clean-and-loaded, format.
It was ok for background noise while looking at my phone.
The Favourite (2018)
Better than Eastenders
It was watchable. Very watchable. I'll probably be watching it again sometime when there is absolutely nothing else on and it just happens to be on at that time. I doubt I'd download it and watch it but I would if the mrs wanted to watch it. It's better than Eastenders.
