Under sandet (2015)
The tragedy of war seen in a new way
It's a shame SS officers and camp officers and staff ( who were making the horrific decisions and carrying out actions against innocent people) weren't forced to do this instead of the young children forced to enter the war near the end.
It's a wonderful view into the mental trauma of wars and after the fog of war it may be able to see your enemies as humans in a terrible situation caused by others.
It's a dark time in history but we learn ( hopefully) that the mistakes of yesteryear can and should be learned so that we can prevent the repeat of atrocious behavior.
If you love learning about historical stories I think you should add this to your list to watch.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Ever hear of 911?
Why on earth did anyone decide that Carrie coming home to find her beloved husband suffering a heart attack on the floor would respond by gazing at him longingly while he dies? How about calling 911 & trying some cpr?
No. Just like that let him die.
The writing is horrible. The acting is worse & Carrie squealing like a teen is ridiculous.
Don't waste your time.
Wild Bill (2019)
Miscast
Would have been a lot better if they had cast someone else other than Rob Lowe.
Rob is strangely wooden & lacking in any emotional acting. It makes it even more noticeable by the good actors surrounding him.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
Where is the character development?
This felt like a game of try to recognize the character from Sopranos & a boring one at that.
Where was the character development of the conscious torn killer? Interactions with different characters felt brief & unemotional.
It ended up that I wanted to rewatch the series. Maybe that was the goal.
Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story (2018)
Heartbreaking
Relevant documentary that follows the aftermath of the murder of Trayvon Martin by G.Z. who benefitted from a broken, corrupt & racist legal system.
