Riptide (2022)
Too much build up and awful acting
The premise of the series had potential (although it has been done many times before). However they spent 3 3/4 episodes building up to the "reveal" and the concluded the whole mini series in 10 mins.
What was the point of the blonde ex? Did he do the same with her, why was she at the police station? It appeared a pointless plot point unless they are planning on a second instalment.
The acting was truley shocking, only Asher Yasbincek came out of it with any credit and that was a stretch. I didn't feel for any of the characters or route for them. David Berry failed to come across as suave or sinister and was not believable as the evil womaniser.
Extremely disappointing.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Offensive to the original series
I was looking forward to this ever since it was announced. The original series was fantastic, the films ok but palatable but this was just horrendous. The actress look awful for a start fat to much work that they don't even look real. Why there is so much effort and intent on shoving the whole gender fluid/non binary down your throat makes it cringe worthy, then they decide to kill off probably the best character from the series. Disappointing is an understatement.
