Andor (2022)
Slow, Boring and Almost Irrelevant to the Star Wars Universe
I'm sorry but as a life long Star Wars fan (I saw the first episode the 2nd day out at the old Fox Theater in West Covina, CA), I just cannot stomach this poorly written and executed disaster. I was not a fan of Diego Luna in Rogue One as he has little to no screen presence and comes across like a scared kitty (my apologies to all you kitten lovers). He was the wrong person then and still is. This series is lacking anything remotely exciting and is so slow that I almost stopped watching after the first 3 episodes. Disney must slow down and take a close look at scripts and the actors used.
While using great cannon and set periods that closely match the originals, the overuse of British actors doesn't help it win over Americans because the English tend to OVER act and some scenes come across in this series in an almost Shakespearean manner. I just hope with the poor execution and assuming they are doing a season 2, I hope these things are taken into account.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021)
Great New SW Addition
I love this new series as it takes from the elements of the original 2008 Clone Wars series and makes a renewed effort (with success) well.. successful! Just wish they could somehow write out the character Omega, she is terrible and her role just doesn't really support what it these 4 men are going through.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
Just the worst gawd awful show in history
I had a wtf moment about 30 minutes into the first episode and bailed. Netflix is doomed with product quality of this type.
Roswell, New Mexico (2019)
Lay off the Political Jabs!
For gawd sakes, i tune in to see what I think might be a good show and what happens... they pepper the dialogue with anti-Trump b.s. Guess what, no one cares anymore. Grow up! Only writers that can't come up with good storylines result to that stuff. Did you see any of that in Breaking Bad? Never! And it is rated as one of the best series EVER! This POS show will go away after a season or two. I'm done watching it.
How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019)
Best of all previous and perfect wrap to trilogy
We saw this here In Phoenix at the early opportunity and the story is great not to mention the effects. While the story has a few blurry parts the comraderie of the family, village and battle of an enemy to save the dragons is incredibly well done. This is the best or close to the best of the "Train Yoir Dragon" movies before it. Go see it, the ending will have you in tears.
In Search of... (2018)
70's In Search Of with a modern tech viewpoint
This show is so refreshing in so many ways. Humans marvel at the unknown and Zachary Quinto is fantastic as the modern curious host. Might I even say this is far superior in production quality than the original with Leonard Nimoy. Quinto actually goes to the locations as opposed to Nimoy who couldn't due to his acting schedule. Fabulous, well done and I hope to see more seasons!
