Love the main actress Michelle Yeoh and this movie is Awesome.
An Action, Fantasy SciFi Comedy that blew my mind. The metaphors are mind bendingly charged. At times I needed to catch up to my brain, other times it was so ironically obvious. It has an artistic quality to it very few movies attempt... Thinking of "Being John Malkovich" or "Crash".
At times I laughed out load and others I cried long. A very powerful movie.
I watched this because Michelle was in it (I didn't expect it to be a Kung Fu flick). It had some chops but it is sooo much more than that. This is a thinking person's movie. A once in a decade awesome movie.
Michelle Yeoh is speculated to be an Oscar nominee (winner?).... this should extend to Ke Huy Quan and screenwriters, cinematography director.
Caveat... you'll either love it or not. If you think you might be liking it - stick with it... 10/10 for me.
