Schmigadoon!: Bells and Whistles (2023)
Jane Krakowski shines as always!
This season is so much cuter in my opinion than the first. The musical numbers are filled with hilarious renditions of the originals. Jane Krakowski looks amazing and has so much talent. She does a courtroom number, Bells and Whistles that is based off of Chicago's Billy Flynn's (Richard Gere) razzle dazzle that is so darling, complete with trapeze tricks done by Jane herself. I'm also loving the Hair musical numbers with the flower hippie people. Cecily, Keegan and an amazing talented cast is worth the watch. Yes people there are many musical numbers as it is a musical. My gosh, relax and enjoy it, we need more musical shows like this to escape life for a bit;)
Shrinking (2023)
Christa Miller's plastic surgery face distraction
Superb cast ensemble, Harrison Ford shines as always. He looks amazing! I lose my concentration on the storyline when Christa Miller is talking due to the distraction of her plastic surgery monstrosity. She's a wonderful actress, but her face is so awful, it lakes away the emotion needed for her scenes. I don't mind the F-bombs, as that's how people speak. Why sugar coat it? But I do agree with other reviews, it's a little to much sometimes. There are more cerebral words that can be used. Also, telling your teenage daughter about your sex life is too much to share. Even with a trusting father/daughter relationship. I raised my daughter better to not talk to me like Alice talks to her dad. It shows kids they can cuss and yell at their parents. No respect. It's a great series's despite what some reviews do and don't agree with on here, but Jason Segel is very talented and keeps me going back for more.
Work in Progress (2019)
Charming characters with integrity and heart
The writing is smart and it doesn't feel like they're acting, almost like a documentary or improv. That's how crazy talented this entire cast is. What a refreshing story. Abby is so real with her feelings and insecurities that we can't help but to root for greatness for her. Her comedic timing is spot on. People who rate this show low might be uncomfortable with excepting all lifestyles. Well they're missing out on how much Abby's friends, family and Chris adores her and that's their loss. I'm absolutely enjoying this Showtime series as my new favorite show! Bravo Abby & cast, looking forward to season two already. Love is love and laughter is laughter!
