Excellent

So this is a great way to follow up the first. It takes you back, all the way to the beginning when Markus (the elder) and his brother were at war. Being an avid fan of the first, I wouldn't say this is better - but it definitely comes close.

As far as plot continuation, this rocks. The follow up to Celine/Michael and the finish of the first is perfect, revealing the history of Celine and the Corvinus-es. Without spoiling anything it reveals a lot about the unrest between the elders. The development of Michael (the Hybrid) is also well done, continuing in the path that he still hasn't figured himself out entirely in some ways but has the ability to control his transformation and beyond. The powers he has come upon are beyond those that anyone saw - superb.

If you don't like the violence, of course because some people don't, then DO NOT see this. The fight scenes are unbelievable, absolutely amazing, with a wide array of endings for people killed.

The film is actually less about vampires/lycans than I would've liked, and in some ways I think it's very military based. The whole plot of Lucian/Kraven/Viktor/Celine from the first is remembered but not really played upon so much.

I went to see this and can honestly say, it's the best spent £5 in a long time. Definitely, if you liked the first, go see this film. Top notch.

Trapped in a Purple Haze (2000 TV Movie)
10/10
10 out of 10 - easily

This movie is definitely the best, if not then one of the best movies ever to highlight the teenage lifestyle we go through. The film actually brought a tear to my eye - the first film EVER to do so - and the storyline was nothing what I had imagined it to be. Finally, we have a film that truly does show teenage drug culture at it's worst (and best, in a way). It's kind of a Pete Doherty story (or would be if he would sort himself out!), and I'm afraid I have to admit, had I not watched Phone Booth before Purple Haze, I probably would have cried! My girlfriend and I watched it last night, and I had to grip her hand at parts, it got to me that much. It's one of those films that, if you don't see things before, this will put everything (and life, in general) into perspective. 5 star, 10 out of 10, 100%, A*, A+ rating for Trapped In A Purple Haze.
