Broke my heart into tiny little pieces and I love it
25 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The story telling is very smart. It kept me very excited for the following episodes.

It started with this small girl hiding in her grandmother's home after having an argument with her mother about quiting ballet.

The little girl starts going through her mother's diary and discovering so many hidden secrets.

The main actors were very charismatic and really talented.

The story was filled with strong and beautiful emotions like devotion, love, ambition, perseverance... They were very helpful to one another. They had the best kind of love and it was very depressing seeing all that so easily slip away from their hands.

The last two episodes were very upsetting. I cried my eyes out.

At the end, we saw the regret in Hee-do's eyes when she just decided she'll be the last one to wait after years of separation.

It was heartbreaking but I enjoyed every last bit of it.

Dark indie comedy

I started hating netflix because they easily get you hooked on some series and you just need to wait a whole year to get more. This is definitely one of the best shows I watched this year. The actors did their job perfectly. The storyline is unpredictable. I was expecting a new version of Eleven from stranger things with some social issues and a new circle of friends. Shows normally display those supernatural humans as undefeatable and friendly loving species who naturally cope with their superpowers and learn to love their differences. Practically, everyone of us wants these superpowers judging from the bright side of things, If you're familiar with Stephen King novels. This thing is for you.

#1 Tunisian comedy

For the first time in my life I found myself speechless trying to express my admiration to one hell of a masterpiece. The actors are beyond amazing. The script is hilarious and in the same time educative. I've learned a lot about psychotherapy as a kid watching and learning. The directing is at its best. This will remain one of the greatest and one of its kind. Everything is perfectly synchronized to give a very pleasurable experience to be loved by all the generations.

By far the best Turkish movie I've ever seen ..
20 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
What a wonderful movie. It was powerful and inspiring.

It's obvious that the director did his best. The actors, the script and the places are very pleasant. The ending was a little expected from my part but I loved the flash-back scenes, the chemistry between the two main actors, very sincere and simple performance. I was overwhelmed by the charismatic presence of Mehmet Günsür, really great actor, now I'm really found of him. I didn't like him this much in Muhtesem Yuzyil. Usually I don't like this kinda of movies but this one was very breathtaking. Now I have an increased appetite for more Turkish movies experiences.

The Brave One (2007)

Underrated greatness
2 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
The brave one was a success for me; it was irritating at some points, exciting at others points. It had what a crime movie should have. The main character was quiet gloomy and dark which made it interesting and attractive. Her strength made her look like a hero while committing crimes whether for the best of the humanity or for an individual matter. Let's put aside the legal matters, the movie was imposing some questions: are those people worth getting our hands dirty for or should we leave it until justice intervenes? This movie made it look like we're watching some super hero movie. The entire movie focused on the powerless police members who find themselves jobless with this woman stealing the lights. The detective was kind of falling in love with this new justice. It was fair enough for everyone; at some point he knew she was the one responsible of the mess and left her some encouragement notes. The movie had a really good aim. It showed how dirty can get the relationships in different part of the world even in the safest places and how unfaithfulness and disbelief that there's a higher power that's responsible for giving or taking lives and leaving judgments. Besides, it drew the lines of the current political situation making us realize that what's shown in the movie is exactly what's lived in real life structuring the interactions between the states. Who's playing the dark lady taking control of justice? Who's playing the blindfolded detective? The movie had great metaphors and some sarcastic images. Playing God won't guide to anywhere. The end was gloomy itself because there's two roads left after getting the new born killing sick machinery whether confessing the whole crimes or continuing the crimes until she'll get caught. I don't believe that she'll be getting some help to get back to her old life because she seemed quiet convinced of what she were getting her hands in. The perfect end was to leave it that way. Although it was a little disappointing because I was waiting impatiently to see if she'll get what she deserves at the end.

A not to be missed sloppy teen romance
2 January 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Just in this period when the rain isn't stopping and you start missing the long promenades over the shore and the delightful time spent with cousins and friends. You just find yourself lost between 4 walls looking around while you have tons of stuff to do, but as always you'd rather do them other time. Between the limitless flawless feelings of stress and inexactitude, I found myself floating in a new passionate adventure; "The sure thing" starred by one of my favorite actors John Cusack, spoiled midday boredom and brought on a wave of new sloppy young love. Once you see the cover with hot girl with silky hair and perfect body you expect the crappy habitual kind of teen college movies with the messing around and the partying the whole time. This movie was a real surprise for me at least a happy one, was my perfect refuge, a young pure love growing with the highway. The relationship was growing gradually between two young people very different that can't bare each other who had to take a ride to California together and were reunited by the hard times they had overcome. What's better than finding out that person despite that apparent shallow spirit can be there for you when an old man hits on you on a moving track. This movie wasn't only a real love story to share, but a friendship that shows up only when we're totally in need of it.

Not the perfect movie, but perfect to watch with family.
9 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know why the critics are so tense and frequent over this movie. Most of people find it ridiculous to be moving from town to town just because you got your heart broken, I don't believe so. I think that the idea was perfect as a trigger to create the main issue "the unstable life of this family and the need of creating some settlement in their life". It's true that's kinda unreasonable but some issues can make this possible in real life too. I'm not a big fan of Hilary Duff but I liked every scene with the boy who had a crush on her. I find it enjoyable to watch and every attempt to get her mom convinced and under the charm of the perfect man. It's was simply hilarious and cozy to watch. But the most thing that I liked in this movie is the relationship between the main characters, the mom and the two daughters it's just perfect and the big change over the mom's personality I shared every happy moment with them and every sad one too. This movie is gonna stay an inspirational deep movie that fills your heart with life and passion.
