Great episode. Almost as good as declaration of war's tension building. Cant wait to see what happens next. Poor Nicolo.

How has this show never been nominated?!?!!?

I guess this show just doesnt have enough political correctness in it for the emmys and golden globes to notice it but it is beyond amazing. Binged the whole series in a week and im starting it all over again because it was that good. Cillian Murphey's acting as Tommy Shelby is some of the best dramatic acting ive ever seen. Throw in a little Tom Hardy every now and then and youve got a formyla for what may very well be the best show on TV right now. 10/10

Such an amazing episode. To be able to masterfully showcase so many events that were previously left untold in just over an hour is just incredible. There is no other show like this. Cant wait to watch the season finale!!!

I thanked God today i wasn't born 120 years ago...
12 January 2020
I always would think to myself that if I were in the shoes of the men that fought and died for us during the first and second World War's, I would've been one of the brave ones. Someone that would've charged out of a trench or a foxhole without hesitation to take down the enemy. Someone that would instantly lay down his life so others could live on. This film really makes me think twice about what I would've done in those horrid times. As this is the finest example of a military related film I have seen in the last 22 years, you feel like you are there along side those unfortunate souls standing in the trenches. Its terrifying. There were 4 moments in particular where I found myself not being able to take a breath, frozen in fear of what was going to happen next. This is all thanks to the GOAT himself, Roger Deakins. If he doesn't pick up his second academy award this year i'm going to petition it as a crime against humanity. This movie is complex on so many other levels though. The set design is astounding. Another oscar i'm sure this film will pick up. Directing was top notch (I admit i had my doubts about Sam Mendes because of Spectre but he has completely redeemed himself on every level) and I can see Medes picking up his first oscar this year. If you're a person that loves military films like myself, you'll love this movie. If you're a person that hates military films, you'll still love this movie. It definitely leans more to the side of anti-war, as I don't think anyone can say the events that transpired during the 19-teens had any bit of positivity after viewing this film. Death and destruction is what you'll see unfold before you instead of bonds being made between men like most war films showcase. I can't wait to go see this film again. I doubt were going to receive a WWI piece like this again anytime soon.

The Witcher (2019– )
10/10
I read the books and played the games......
20 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was terrified when news was first released about this TV show adaptation of The Witcher book series. I didn't want some random TV writers ruining a great part of my childhood (the books) while simultaneously ruining a great part of my young adulthood (the game series). I thought it would be impossible for a TV series about Geralt n' crew to be anywhere near this good. God answered my prayers people. Damn good people built and molded this series into (dare I say it) Game of Thrones S1-7 quality!!! To be completely honest episode one was an average opening. Its how the show progressed through the 7 remaining episodes that made it so spectacular. All the great parts of the first and second books are used and God did I have a mile wide grin on my face watching some of these scenes come to life. The last time I felt this good about a TV series was back in 2013 when Game of Thrones season 3 ended. Its quite the feeling. If you've read the books or played the games have no fear, the people that made this adaption keep you very comfortable while watching. I can't wait for season 2! By the way, if you don't like the fantasy genre, this is still an amazing watch in its own merit. Acting, writing, directing, cinematography, the lot of it. This show will please any viewer, guarenteed.

Praying for Mando n' Crew.

Excellent penultimate episode!! Its looking quite hopeless for our beloved mandalorian at the moment, but im sure he'll find a way to blow away Gus just like Walt did 5 years prior. The finale is going to be one hell of a Christmas present!

Eh.
7 December 2019
First episode we've received not written by Jon Favreau. Definitely shows. The guy they hired to play Mando's partner was really bad...he must've known someone that works on the show to get a part. Feels a lot like a filler episode in an anime. Hopefully next weeks episode will bring a better storyline.

WOW.

Jon Favreau and team have outdone themselves with the latest installment in The Mandalorian. Somehow they made a 30min episode more entertaining than the last full length star wars movie. Very impressive. Cant wait for more!

I watched both seasons in 2 days.......

This is the most mindbending, thrilling, tense, and best show I have ever seen. The complexity is on a level unseen in any other television show you will watch guarenteed. The first season blew me out of the water. I had a bar set so high for the second season i never thought it could surpass it. Boy was I wrong. Get me to a therapist. If you're tired of watching run of the mill sci-fi/thriller television shows and movies like I was, please please please! Watch this show. I'm actually ridiculously suprised to see its has an 8.6 rating right now and not a 9.6. Absolute perfection in every way filmmaking can be. Have fun not sleeping till its over once you watch the first episode like me :)

Chernobyl: Vichnaya Pamyat (2019)
Season 1, Episode 5
10/10
One of two shows I've seen that has achieved "Masterpiece" status.
5 June 2019
The other show was Breaking Bad. All of hundreds of television shows i've watched over the years have some sort of flaw or the creators take it in a direction that ruins the series (looking at you GoT). Although this series was absolutely horrifying, by the end I couldn't help but have an enormous grin on my face. Not because I'm some sociopath, but because I had the same feeling inside of me i felt after watching the last episode of Breaking Bad. The feeling that this was truly a masterpiece, and I wouldn't change a thing.

For the Pups.

All I wanted to do while watching this was jump through the screen and take bullets. If you've ever loved an animal you'll understand. This is hands down the hardest episode of any television show i've ever seen to watch. It's also one of the best.

This is as good as TV gets.
26 May 2019
The amount of emotion felt while viewing the few episodes has been unlike any other for me. The directing is flawless. Acting is flawless. The set designs are breathtaking. I had a lot of prior knowledge surrounding Chernobyl before I watched this and I was still on the edge of my seat the entire time. Such a rare thing to enact in a person knowing the history of whats going on. This is a rare visceral experience indeed. A+++
