This is a decent, watchable movie. The genre itself is stereotypical, so for a hollywood movie it had to be within some lines. A dying young girl is a theme that hardly any director would call a dream job. However the Slovenian director Mitja Okorn does succed to deliver true emotions to a viewer and bring a few tears to your eyes. With surprising layered stories he also delivers the extra drama and action. The characters are highly unusual. Even the protagonist is quite an outcast herself and does not seek to draw the simpathies initially. She earns it. Jayden Smith, as the boy in love with her, projects the true naive and from the heart emotions of true love and sacrifice. A rap star, transvestites, a hedgehog, security guards, career obsessed father...the characters are brought to life by a fine bunch of actors and of course - the hedgehog. It's a movie of details that brings the otherwise tragic story to a new level and delievers a great episode of passion for life more than the one of inevitable death. Absolutely recommendable.
