This is one more 10/10 Lars.gem.

This is one more 10/10 Lars.gem. A deep descent to the psyche of the psychopath, a horror story that makes all the rest look like Disneyland. You unconsciously control your breath and wait for the next shocking image or word. In this story, Bruno 'call me Verge' as Charon shepherds dead Jack through the sewers on the verge of Acheron. On this long journey, serial killer Jack tells Charon about his murders and so we watch. Charon is not impressed, the roar of those millions who suffered and was annihilated by mass murderer leaders, sounds in the Hades underworld and diminish the hubris of this insignificant psychopath. He was an engineer but incapable to design and build his own silly tiny house. He could not select the right material because not any of the ordinary was proper for him. But psychopath Jack is proud for his murders, he succeeded because he was good to this only, the indifference of the rest was his ally, no one paid any attention when he carried the bodies and nobody heard the screams of the suffering. This was the world where Jack lived and unfortunately this is ours. Just one Uma was enough to trigger his psychopathetic passion to cause pain. He was now away from his miserable childhood, when hidden in the tall grass was amazed by the reapers cutting it down. So he started with naive women and ended with men that could manipulate, a common choice for all those fortunately less dangerous everyday psychopaths who live among us. Finally Jack's luck ended and Charon was his last companion. But even in that hell, his arrogance led him believe there is a way out, that he is invincible, because back then he had the right and power to take the lives of the week and the innocent no matter what his motive was.

Blade Runner 2019
5 October 2017
I just returned home from the movie and I know I shall go back there again next week and then, I shall fight not to relate it to the original (which is the difficult part) , I shall relax a few times sleeping (I know when), I shall comment on the movie to my companion to avoid paying attention to the tears, so finally, I shall enjoy the best science fiction movie ever made since 1982.

A horror masterpiece !
13 December 2015
Do you want to be scared ? Do you want to be terrified and spent two hours feeling sick ? Do you want to be frightened into sudden familiar horror clichés ? No, this is not the right movie to waste your time for.

There is only a crime story and a woman who can feel the dead. The murderers have common motive and the departed end up as usual in their final state. There is nothing unexplainable or supernatural but the girl's ability to see not only the dead corpses but their dark dissipating fragile shapes. Their images are flawless and she is their hope, they do not want to harm her, they are seeking relief. The sense of danger is perpetual and horror comes easily in perfect visuals, radiant colors and impressive theatrical scenery, but you lay back in your chair and enjoy a masterpiece rather than a movie designed to shock or cause fear and disgust. This Guillermo del Toro's work of art should be placed to the top rank of all horror – thriller movies and considered a reference value for anything relative has been already directed.

Not even well hidden Nazi propaganda
26 March 2014
Excellent photography with beautiful German landscapes against razed to the ground houses and desperate hungry countrymen, blond lovely kids that suffer the cruelty of Americans that kill all the children and Russians that shoot children, a Jew ( he has a number tattooed ) who brutally kills an innocent German in cold blood with a rock, the same Jew who says lies while Lore does it only to give courage to her siblings, her coward not-so-German looking father who, according to her mother's words, wasn't so brave to do something else (what ?) instead of trying to save them, Hitler etc in pictures as images needed to be buried possibly for future use, conversations in a train about concentration camp photos that were probably fake and many more, are simple misdemeanors. If ".... your parents didn't do anything wrong.... " was not said by that obese lovely austere lady during the final minutes of this movie, I would say that naivety might have dominated the movie's creators' minds. But with this final phrase, the movie looks like a not even well hidden Nazi propaganda.
