Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy: The Jelly Fox (2012)
Will not describe
As a 45 and older male, I gave it a 10. Why? Because it is like a dream run amok. Skill or not, this is not something most can make. If you can create something as absurd, do it, I'd love to see it.
As for the two 45+ males who gave it a 4 and a 6, I know a 65 you male and my mother (79) who would give it about the same.
This manages to cover themes youthful anticipation, agency and accountability, relationships, serious health conditions, the importance of not mocking or making fun of others, to name a few.
Ghoul (2018)
Anyone rating this a 10 has never seen a classic horror
In all, the acting was pretty decent. The storyline became absurd by the middle of the second episode. The political commentary is obtuse, weak at best. But for some of the interrogation dialogue, it lacked substance and artistic integrity. I am genuinely mystified how anyone could have nightmares from it. On a personal note, the soundtrack, or better yet the blaring sounds, were the most disturbing. Not in a good way.
