Rom com or app movie gone wrong
20 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I don't think it was the worst movie I've ever seen, but it's pretty up there. I like an easy and cheesy rom com too. This was not it. I'm surprised Noah C took on this role, it looks so low budget and the script is too far fetched and poorly written. Somehow the guys were apparently right when saying girls were forced to join the app if all guys were on it. When in reality, 95% of women prob wouldn't use the app because they want to get a meal before they get laid. The girls in this movie get on the app with the hope of eventually getting men to stick around after the 1st fling, without even knowing their name. Yet with so many apps around, I think it's highly unlikely. Anyway, the ending feels rushed. They throw in some cheesy romance at the end that wasn't believable. The only connection we knew of James and Hannah is that he learned of her stutter issue, which was non existent esp when speaking in her sorority group..The HS backstory didn't help their case. She learned he coded the misogynistic app and forgave him on the spot due to timing in the film and the insecure sorority sisters saying she should. When her character appeared as supposedly strong and not peer pressured by others. Lance (Noah C) somehow becomes interested in someone we never saw have him have much interaction with. I would have figured the curly haired girl he saw twice that he kicked out of the room when James needed to code. They showed his dad as a ladies man in the beginning..I thought they were going to delve into why Lance is like that also and how he learned to not be like his father when he fell for someone. No character development here. Also, why couldn't James just tell his mom the real intention of the app? To tell her that she's worth more than meeting a man and not even knowing their name? She didn't have to know he coded it. Then she went on that bad date and he just watched with his dad and current GF..Good thing she didn't go get laid. That would have been really cringe. James' family interactions were awkward and added no value to the story. If anything, he learned they were liars, which was noticeable by their questionnaire answers. He should have asked a wider demographic. James was supposedly intelligent but didn't think to have Lance sign a contract regarding his payment towards MIT or for more (depending on the future value of the app) The blonde haired creep friend was a bad actor. I could go on and on, but I've said enough. If you want to watch a Rom com, watch something else. Watch anything else with Noah C, not this. Swipe left and delete this movie like an app from your mind afterwards if you have.

Ozark: A Hard Way to Go (2022)
Season 4, Episode 14
5/10
A hard way to go for many viewers
5 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start off by saying that I have never been a fan of open endings. If I commit to a series with a finale episode, I want a clear cut ending. Even if it is not ideal for all the viewers. Jonah shooting the P. I. Mel makes no sense, i'm hoping it was "Ben" the cookie jar goat. We will never really know..

Jonah protecting them made no sense at that point. It seems he really just wanted to shoot a gun Buddy taught him to use. Wendy almost died In the car crash or they all did but I didn't see Jonah making that move and doing a 180.

Also, did I want Ruth to make it? Yes. Did I think she was going to? No. Her ending was a bit lackluster, Three could have saved her life if he was there when she got back or she should have used the gun she had on Wendy's father, had she kept it in her car after she had been followed to then shoot Camilla. She shot Javi like it was nothing. She could have killed Camilla or gone out with a bang, both armed. At least she went out with dignity in a sense but she was so smart she should have seen that coming. When I saw Ruth on a plane earlier, I was hoping she was leaving the country until I saw it was Miami.

There was NO need to bring Rachel back, they didn't need her for diddly squat. Not for the casino license and certainly not for laundering. Unless Marty gives her a tutorial before they leave for Chicago now that Ruth passed. Wasted time with the Rachel season 4 scenes. I hope she gave Tuck a job at the casino now.

I was also hoping something would happen between Frank Jr and Ruth, tension between them had me thinking so, after they reconciled. That didnt happen but alluded to it. It would have been nice if Ruth got some before she died.

Wendy's greed showed no bounds, it was really sickening. I was really hoping she died in the car crash. The priest saying it was God's warning (or however he said it) I thought was the foreboding line to her or their plan's demise in the end. If they "made" it I would have liked to have at least seen a 5 years later after the 1st forced deal between Camilla and Claire with them in Chicago. Truthfully I wanted Marty to divorce Wendy if she had to live but I guess she was his "ride or die"

Poor baby Zeke, all his parents died. Rachel should have taken him since they brought her back. I hope he has a good new family..

This episode in general could have better wrapped up side characters besides Sam. There needed to be a season 5 and episodes split between seasons 4 in a better way, so this ending could have not felt so rushed with so many questions from the viewers.

Santa Clarita Diet (2017–2019)
9/10
Netflix we Need a Santa Clarita Diet Season 4!!
7 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I never really write IMDB reviews but I wanted to for this show because I am so disappointed that it was cancelled the way that it was.. The fans need to see Joel's transformation, The further progression of Abby and Eric's relationship, and at least let them graduate!! I also want Lisa (Eric's mom) to find love. There needs to be at least 1 more season to wrap it all up at least if not more, so the fans like myself can be at peace !! ALL the actors & supporting actors are great. !! Not just Drew.. Especially (Joel) Timothy Olyphant who is always good & (Eric) Skyler Gisondo's facial expressions are priceless lol The writing is great, it's a simple comedy and strangely it teaches about family values. You also end up actually caring about the characters and how they are dealing with the undead aspect. All while Drew bites people's necks as she goes for their jugular. Sometimes the show can be a little over the top like the character Gary's head in a vase thing but in a strange way it all works.
