Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)
A nearly three hour film that flies
I remember looking at my watch about what I thought was 30 mins into the film to find an hour had passed. This film goes so fast with so much going on you never notice the time.
The additions to the cast, as always only made it stronger, it was great to see Hayley Atwell (in my opinion criminally underused since her role as Agent Carter) given a role allowing her to be physical as well as vulnerable.
I have always loved Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa her chemistry with Ethan Hunt has always been just subtlety perfect. Mission Impossible has always - but especially recently, been great at showcasing strong female characters which have more to them than "generic love interest"
The action as always is impeccable. I couldn't tell you which was my favourite but the fight scenes on the bridge had my heart in my mouth. So wonderfully choreographed.
Even though it was a part one, it felt like a whole movie. Can't want for the next.
Bullet Train (2022)
Lots of fun!
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
The actors come across as having had a great time doing this.
It's not a clever film, it's just entertaining. Great fight scenes are a given I guess.
Queer Eye: Jones Bar-B-Q (2019)
Comfort TV
Once again, I watch this show and I am astounded by the level of heart and warmth.
It's amazing how a few simple changes to someone's life can add up to massive ones. The fab five are simply the nicest guys on tv.
Watch this show when you're having a bad day, let it sooth your soul and show you there are good people in the world.
Queer Eye (2018)
So much heart
I don't even know how to start to explain how much I love this show. The fab five are truly that. What they bring to each guy is so much love and empathy. Helping to elevate the man in front of them, not to change him, but to make him the best version of themselves.
The Departed (2006)
I can't believe it took me 12 years to watch this
This is an absolutely brilliant film. The cast is amazing, the direction superb.
And how much fun is Mark Whalberg having, such a departure from his usual roles.
If you haven't watched it, do!
The Frankenstein Chronicles: Lost and Found (2015)
Disappointing
This was really good, but this last episode was bloody awful! I'm so disappointed
