Missed the mark by 1000 corpses
23 July 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Take the most powerful horror characters, of what the past 12 years or more, and then put them in a Raod Movie and take away the humor, power, and pure craziness of these characters, and you get Devil's Rejects. I was greatly anticipating a film as good as 1000 Corpses, man that was a crazy freak show ride. Spaulding, pops off with these great one liners, and Baby, "B-A-B-Y whats that spell", were so great! In this film, Reject's, Hell, Captain Spualding was flat, and humorless, and never even really killed anyone. Baby and Otis came across as weak and of course under the power of the wooooo a Bad Cop. Wow thats a shocker, and Bad cop, whatever. And what about tiny getting blowed up at the end WHY? Seeing Otis and Baby in this movie, played so far from the previous movie bummed me out, hell why not just make them different characters.

1000 Corpses, was a great film and a great new horror film, Reject's is not.

Damn Scary, and It's going to get you......

Great film, shocks, laughs, and a damn fun ride, how sweet! Cool writing, some uncommon horror touches and a sweet ending that wrapped it up nice without the Hollywood "Part Two coming soon" ending set up.

An inventive film with good build up after a bang of a beginning, then it all breaks loose. The plot twists and turns in a way that keeps you guessing, and the end is solid and clear. Nicely photographed, with good lighting, and effects, great actors, and plan scarer. Crazy in it's shocks and scares, and with a humor that was solid and had the audience hooting! Man it is the next big horror movie out there! Release this thing on like 3000 screens on October 10th, run the cast around to all the great 15-40 year old shows, and boom you just blew up and got buried in money.

I will be there to watch any other movie you guys make.

A powerful film about loss and being alone resolved into belonging through a Football Firm (gang).

5 Stars; A truly great film, with a powerful story. Beautifully photographed, in London, Wow! The audience was quickly involved, and laughed, started, and gave a standing ovation at the end. Truly a complete film, thank you for having a real ending to the film, which is so rare these days. Never apologize for this film, it is loving, stark, caring, hard, honest, violent, and beautiful. It touches the emotions, and the feeling of not belonging that exists within many of us, and that longing for love and brotherhood, that is not available without some dire costs. The characters were so clearly human, powerful and conflicted one was drawn to care for everything that happened to them and cheer at their triumphs and sit in horror at their losses.

I have recommended that everyone see this film during SXSW. My wife and I were expecting an audience award for the film, which it easily won, however the Jury Award was also won and we were give true appreciation for the jury system at SXSW.

Beautiful photographed, with outstanding music, this production hits all the marks out of the ballpark and should be studied for how powerful film today could be. This is the level of film making I aspire to achieve.

A solid relationship piece with equal attraction for both sexes, crazy great.

Wow what a great movie, really powerful in ways that make one question themselves and desire the relationships that are so moving. I would recommend this movie to everyone! This movie is all about how we are in relationships and at times struck me in the way I relate to my girlfriend, and make me wonder about love and how it is shown and given, and accepted. I will not ever be the same in my thinking about love and life after seeing this movie. Truthful to the point of being a mirror for the way some (most) men act towards the beautiful women who love them.

This team hit a home run with Puffy Chair and will now be a part of movie history, their next movie, without doubt should be huge and well financed. I expect that Puffy Chair will get distribution and do very very well.
