Juno (2007)

Juno is every bit better than the hype
15 January 2008
It's kinda funny how about every 20 years Hollywood gets it right in a teen comedy. I think back to the Graduate, then on to Say Anything and now Juno. If one thinks giving a poor rating to a truly great movie is funny or in some way makes them look smart, it's sadly untrue. Juno stars Ellen Page who plays a 16-year old high schooler who just up and decides one day that she's ready to have sex, unfortunately for her and her boyfriend, Michael Cera... she gets pregnant. While it seems easy and simple enough of a story, the layers start in. Juno doesn't want the baby... Juno doesn't want some easy way out... Juno just wants to play music and have this baby already given to someone who will love and take care of it as if it's really their own child. Juno isn't looking for a payday or a "oh, that's too bad"... Juno is amazing. See Juno today, you will once again feel like movies are worth watching again. It is the best picture of 2007, without question, and you will feel that life is just a little bit happier place from watching it.

Fahrenhype 9/11 (2004 Video)

Fahrenhype... don't believe the hype.
1 June 2006
It isn't a surprise that after the lies of the war in Iraq were exposed in Michael Moore's Farenheit 9/11, an excellent documentary that was nearly 100% accurate, that a movie from people in disagreement with anything Anti-Bush would surface, that is what we have in Farenhype 9/11.

As soon as you start out a movie, and try to justify President Bush's response to 9/11 as sitting, dumb-faced for minutes... unsure what to do, but sure to sit in a classroom of children, when planes are doing U-Turns in the sky, and have the classroom teacher say, "I would have voted for him right there", you know what kind of piece of junk you have on your hands.

Not sure exactly if this film is supposed to say Michael Moore is not as smart as he is, or that it's all Clinton's fault, which it obviously wasn't or that Bush is a great leader which he obviously is not.

This film fails on so many levels, it's laughable.

It's actually almost funnier today than then, because when Fahrenheit 9/11 came out, it was 90% fact, and 10% opinion/speculation, however as the months have passed, more of Moore's speculation have become fact and this movie looks more comical by comparison... especially when the main characters in the movie never saw Fahrenheit 9/11 to begin with.

What About Brian

This series is one of the best shows in recent years... it has a wonderful cast, moves quickly and seems very fresh.

My wife and I both love it, and we've been watching it despite it's terrible placement at 10PM on Monday Nights... and despite the fact of being huge Medium fans.

I'm really glad to see Rosanna Arquette back in the acting scene... ironically up against sister Patricia.

The initial trailer for the series did not disappoint and the episodes have all been better than advertised.

Hopefully it comes back for a second and third season.
