The Big Bull (2021)
Not Comparing to Scam. Bad Even as a Standalone Movie
I agree its unfair to compare a movie to a series and moreover when the series was based on facts and a book while the movie is more like based on true events.
Where Big Bull fails is the direction. What makes it unbearable to watch is the acting esp of Abhishek Bachchan. He really cannot act and he is still stuck in the Guru days.
But most of all, its bad luck for thr makers. Subconsciously people are bound to compare. People know the real story so your fictional aspects are going to be questionable. The movie would have surely commanded a better feedback had it been released before Scam 1992.
Coolie No.1 (2020)
What the heck was that?!
The original was one of my favorite and barely 15min into this remake I realized that people will miss Govinda like never before. There have been plenty of remakes and some have been successful, some have not, but this one is just rotten to the core.
Remakes use liberties to change the dialogues, mannerism, screenplay to appeal to newer age group but in this remake each of those things are copy pastied. Why wouldn't I just watch the original one? Esp when the varun dhawan gets on your nerves with his over acting! Until now, Sadak 2 was the biggest dud of the year, now its overtaken by this one. Although the makers won't be disappointed, had they released this in theaters they would have cried thier way to see the boxoffice numbers.
If you really wanna see what's the worst movie of the year, give it 15 min and you will realize. For ones who have watched through the whole movie, two claps for them. For those who are rating this movie as awesome, two fingers to them ;]
Axone (2019)
Ignore all previous dubious reviews. Netflix India adds one more to the gutter.
How many Indian shows on Netflix have caught your fancy? SG1 yes. Offlate, all content has been garbage. I started watching this movie with renewed excitement thinking of giving Netflix India another chance. And I literally was scratching my head off not knowing what's going on with the movie. It felt like I started the movie 1 hour after the movie had already began. After 20 min of torture, I did the back button and moved to watching another seen movie on Netflix.
Drive (2019)
Worst Movie Ever
1) Sushant Singh has worn loud pink and red lipstick in most scenes. I think the makeup map mistook him with Jacqueline.
2) He is trying to immitate SRK so bad that the latter should cry watching this movie
3) Movie shot on such shoe string budget that Cars used in racing scenes are Swift and Nano.
4) Another adding to the former, racing sequences are so badly shot and since they didn't have a CGI budget in many scenes they have used screenshots of 1990s racing video games.
5) No logic no sense in story, the loopholes are more than dialogues.
6) It seems their accomodation to Israel was sponsored by Israel tourism. The whole song was shot by a selfie cam.
7) Did Big Boys Toys produce the movie? I'm guessing the budget would be less than equivalent to the price of one of his luxury cars tyres.
8) I'm guessing everyday before shooting, Jacqueline and Sushant woul binge watch Money Heist.
In the Tall Grass (2019)
The Makers Were Surely Smoking Grass
The first 10 min were intriguing but then on it just went down the hill, time travel, some stone thing, couldn't make sense of the screams and the plot. Utter waste of time.
