The Batman (2022)
One of the worst superhero movies of all time
How this movie was accepted, especially for its three hour DRAGGED out length, is astounding. The fact people are upvoting this monstrosity gives me no hope of the film industry ever being good again. This is definitely the worst superhero rendition ever made. You know the lead actor is trash when his supporting actors blow him out of the water by miles in every single aspect of the dragged out mess.
I don't get anyone could be hyped for a follow up as you are literally going to sit in a dark, comatose theater and listen to tween minded adult woman get off to the fact their sparkling vampire was casted in this mess.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023)
Seaside Cheese
I cannot believe this script got approved. It's overhyped for the sheer fact that a hunk is playing its lead. Said hunk cannot act, his lead mistress is a terrible actress/person/cannot give an ounce of chemistry ever, and the side roles aren't much better at their jobs.
Most of the movie gives you heavy marvel vibes which has grown extremely old. Rinse and repeat of the same action scenes, same cgi, no creativity.
I'm disappointed that the film industry will rate a movie much higher than it's worth for the sheer fact the lead has looks going for him.
I feel like if this the continuation for superhero movies than this will be my last.
Saturday Night Live: Kate McKinnon/Billie Eilish (2023)
Much stronger than many in the last few years
Kate McKinnon nails the hosting and skit acting unlike most host in the last several years. The Billie eilish skit might go down as the funniest skit in a LONG time. I am not very familiar with her but after listening to her Christmas song performance I can rightfully say she's much more talented than I had presumed. The writers, I feel anyway, did an exceptional job on this episode. Did Kate help? I mean every other episode prior was really weak so I'm beginning to wonder if Kate read what they had sent her and said no way you guys need to rewrite it this way. Either way, I am glad this was good for a change.
Saturday Night Live: Jason Momoa/Tate McRae (2023)
Only a few chuckles
Mostly during the first skit did I even laugh. This dude is not funny at all. His acting is very cringe too. I don't get the hype.
And Tate lipsynced her way through her performance and almost showed us her cat in the process. She's terrible. I dropped my review by 2 stars just because of how bad the entire musical performance was. The fact some people here are rating this as high because of their affection for Jason is depressing. This was just a bad episode overall. I feel like people should have looked at the full spectrum at least.
(Yes I'm just now reviewing it as I just got around to watching the episode last night. )
The Masked Dancer: Premiere - Everybody Mask Now! (2020)
Yawnfest borefest.
Cannot believe they thought this was going to work. I went into it thinking "hey It might be good fun" but once you realize how dull and boring both the judges and host are you want to just turn it off within 5 minutes.
