Exquisite filmmaking with brilliant acting

In this busy modern life we often face corruption,injustice,inequality more or less . But few of us fight against it and perform moral and civic duty . Because Keeping our mouth shut and maintaning status quo is much easier and safe . But a brave few finds the courage stand against this kinds of things,rising above their limitations and self-interset . This people make us question our conscience and duty . Such a story is of this film . Talented Jeffrey Wigand works as a researcher in Brown & Williamson . When it decides to apply a secret formula to their products,which will increase nicotin absorption in human body, Jeffrey challenges this decision and gets fired for doing so . Losing his job creates problem in his family life . On other hand Lowell Bergman,who is the producer of famed tv show 60 Minutes is investigating tobacco companies gets in touch with Jeffrey . Who is reluctant to say anything about his company's wrongdoing because his contract with the company . When his company finds out his meeting with the journalist,they threatens him and his family . A simple man like him becomes the target of a billion dollar company . His wife divorces him,making things worse . Jeffrey loses everything for fighting for truth . Having been cornered he decides to go public against all odds . But broadcasting of the show is halted under the pressure of big tobacco . Will the truth come out ? Will Jeffrey's sacrifice go in vain ? To know you have to watch it . Nothing new could be said about the performance of two brilliant actors like Russell Crowe and Al Pacino . And accomplished director like Michael Mann has done his job perfectly .
