The Vern: A One Hit Wonder Story (2010)
I LOVED IT! - So much happened I didn't expect!
I absolutely LOVED "The Vern" and it's collection of crazy characters, with its wacked storyline that kept totally surprising me or making me laugh myself silly at times! You can't help but want to cheer the lead character "The Vern" on during this film, and the supporting characters and scenes were brilliantly played throughout. I found this film very entertaining, I enjoyed the clever writing all the way through, there's a great music soundtrack, and I thank the outstanding cast and all the brilliant work of everyone behind the scenes for totally drawing me into this story. I've already watched it twice, and I can't wait to enjoy it all over again! Congrats to the entire cast and crew!
The Rat Thing (2007)
Laughed so hard - it hurt!
I had so much fun watching The Rat Thing at a recent independent film festival. This movie had me laughing out loud, so hard that I was crying, and by the end of the movie I actually hurt from laughing that hard for that long. This independent film was made extremely well - from the intriguing and unusual story line, to the hilarious dialogue and interactions between very unique characters (cheers to Keresey and McGee for their outstanding performances), and the film-making process - the directing, filming, camera angles, casting, editing - all of it created a movie that is top notch. And of course I loved how the Rat was incorporated into the story - hats off to the animal trainer too (you're my hero!). I can't wait to see this movie again!
Why We Had to Kill Bitch (2003)
Great Cast!
I really enjoyed the outstanding cast of WWHTKB. I saw this film at the Bare Bones International Film Festival, April 2004, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I've attended a number of film festivals, and have seen tons of films, but this comedy really stood out for me. I thought EVERY cast member presented an awesome performance, the script was well written, the camera angles and lighting were all effective, the settings were very realistic, and the scenes presented a crazy, strange and funny story.
Way to go JP, cast and crew of this film! Looking forward to your next project.
