Farzi (2023)
Thrilling to the core !!
A racy series and absolutely loved the way the scenes are written and connected. Simplicity of the series and characters are the best part, yet it engages with edge of the seat thrills. Cast is outstanding, Shahid lived in the role is an understatement and glad he picked this instead of a movie, this will live on for a long time. Now the country and globe witnesses what a talent Vijay sethupathi is, his scenes with the minister are a lit. Rashi has been exceptional in being strong yet vulnerable. Bhuvan Arora was superb and gets a career break and all the best series must have KK Menon to make them actually best.
Keep it coming Raj & DK, you are creating a genre of its own and you are sure to take Indian series and creativity to another level.
Gutthi (2014)
A stellar thriller
The concept of a writer getting himself locked up in the story that he is trying to conceive has been made with an intriguing fashion. Right from the opening scene to the ending one, every frame was superbly scripted, directed and acted. The story escalates nicely to a familiar small inescapable space between the characters as they move on.
It is quiet a difficult task to introduce characters and build the story in a short film, in this case it happened swiftly with an adept scripting and editing. The characters were well conceived and the acting was great. In contrast to normal thrillers where there are fast cuts and skips, here all the scenes were crafted skillfully to create emotion and tension in the audience.Though the story is concentrated on one place, the happenings in every other scene makes you guess the reactions of the main two characters in the present one. All the events condense beautifully into a final stand off, the climax surprises and entices the movie experience.
Give it a shot, you'll be hooked till the end and will be surprised.
