Pathaan (2023)
THE RETURN OF THE KING
Tbh, I'm not completely satisfied with the plot and the CGI was funny.
Deepika was really good. The act, the action, all good. She got the applause of the lifetime when she showed up in that controversial traditional wear. John my man. A dark & sexy villain who can kill you with a smirk. He literally owned the first half but he copied Tom Cruise from MI:2, so less marks for him.
And SRK. It wasn't just me, but a whole lot of people missed seeing him on screen. The crowd totally welcomed the King back with loud cheerings and non-stop whistles and what not. I have always been a big fan of his action scenes. In fact I was totally drooling over that train fight (which is a single shot). The new look is sexy as hell. To watch this man for 140 minutes on an IMAX screen was indeed a treat.
Tbh, I really enjoyed Pathaan but I liked War more.
Anyway, welcome to the Spy Universe. I hope I didn't spoil anything about the cameos.
(Do not miss the mid credits)
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)
MAGNIFICENT
Brahmastra is an outstanding movie with breathtaking visuals, amazing background score and great storyline.
This has gotta be the best VFX treat we have ever witnessed in Indian cinema. Director Ayan Mukerji's years of hardwork can be seen in the movie.
Didn't like the chemistry, to be honest. Performances of Ranbir and Alia would have been better. The cameos are just great. You'll get an idea of the next story if you go into the details of this one.
Avoid the unwanted romance and this is going to be one of the best theatrical experience.
All in all, the movie is a blockbuster. Enjoyed the movie to it's core. Eagerly waiting for the next part.
Must watch it in 3D.
Sardar Udham (2021)
A masterpiece
This movie shouldn't go unnoticed.
Other than a historical drama based on the Jallianwala Bagh incident, I didn't know much about the movie. But it turns out as the movie which made me cry unlike any other movie before.
This is undoubtedly a top-notch quality movie with brilliant making and performance. Every single frame shown, all the dialogues delivered takes you deep inside the soul of the story.
Hats off to the director. From Vicky Donor, Piku, October, now Shoojit Sircar has reached a Mel Gibson level direction. (I'm not kidding). The massacre of Jallianwala Bagh in 1919, was only a one-page article in my textbook. But the way they narrated, easily took me back to that period and understand their plight. The incredible, horrific, cinematic expression of that tragedy will always remain in my mind. I highly recommend everyone, not to miss this piece of art.
This movie should not go unnoticed.
Cherry (2021)
TOM IS UNBELIEVABLE!
Undoubtedly the best of Tom Holland since "The Impossible".
What an act. Hats off to Ciara Bravo and the awesome director duo Joe & Anthony Russo.
Memories (2013)
FANTASTIC THRILLER
One of the best thrillers ever made. Little bit inspired from Angels & Demons and Se7en. But brilliant making.
Drishyam 2 (2021)
IT'S LIKE GODFATHER 2
Hats off to the director Jeethu Joseph who managed to keep 100% perfection for a very risky "second part" that had all the chances to face tons of challenges.
Drishyam (2013)
BRILLIANT
One of the best thrillers ever made. Outstanding performance by the whole cast.
