The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
Abomination.
Abomination, that's the first word that comes to mind.
Let's put it plain, if me and my crackhead neighbor got really drunk and decided to make a Matrix parody it would've been better.
Never thought I won't be able to watch a matrix movie to the end but here we are.
Terminal (2018)
Entertaining and darkish
I rarely write a review, but this one deserves it.
All acting is top notch and I mean ALL the acting, every single one of them. Margot Robbie is just stunning as always, idk where Mike Myers was hiding but he's back and boy he's good. Simon Pegg fooled me completely and Dexter Fletcher is awesome, even Max Irons is phenomenal imho.
Directing is good to great, the plot is entertaining with a little bit of extra violence, but I think it was needed to deliver the right kind of atmosphere.
The only thing I thing it can be better is the soundtrack, but I think this may be just my thing, overall I recommend to check it out yourself.
Suntan (2016)
Painful and pleasant like love
First, sorry for my poor English.
This is one of the most
real movies I have ever seen, the acting is awesome, it's so good that I don't know if the actors are not just ordinary guys and girls been themselves.
They say the perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add but when there is nothing else to remove, and I think this movie is all about that, straight and honest like life, nothing redundant. The one thing that can be improved is the soundtrack, something more like Chambao would be great but overall good job even on this matter.
If you ever been in love and ever been heartbroken
if you ever been alive you'll love that movie, really love it, you'll hate it and love it at the same time.
Afterwards (2008)
One of my all time favorite movies
First of all I'm no movie critic or someone pretending to be expert in the cinematic art I'm just a regular Joe who likes a good movie, with that being said I have to admit that this is one of my all time favorite movies. I like pretty much everything in it:
I find the plot to be quite unique and fascinating. It kept me in nescience until the very end (and this is something I experience rarely those days)
The acting is at its best imo, Evangeline Lilly and John Malkovich are mesmerizing
don't get me wrong Romain Duris was great too, maybe an idea lesser :)
Atmosphere is just breathtaking - mysterious, kind of noar and very, very
real.
Soundtrack is nothing short of perfect, I have nothing else to say just WOW.
Overall this is one of the few films that makes me shed a tear every time I watch it (me & my girlfriend if I have to be honest) and I do recommend it with all of my heart.
P.S. Sorry for my poor English :(
Misconduct (2016)
A movie you can skip in my humble opinion.
I didn't liked this movie. The acting seemed to me unnatural, all of the actors were over-calm an emotionless, it was like a film for androids, at least in most of it. The plot had a potential but it was unrealized for a lot of reasons, I think mostly the directing. As the action was moving towards the end the whole thing became even more messy and sporadic and it all ended with a grand finale of nonsense.
Sorry about my poor English but I felt obliged to prevent other people from seeing that movie. I'm a simple man and I don't know much about the art cinematography but I can distinguish a bad movie when I see it, believe me.
Manhattan Romance (2014)
What a great movie
I'm not really that good at reviews, in fact this is the first one I write, but when I saw IMDb rating I felt oblige to do so.
This is great and very realistic film about love and everyone who is not brain dead should see it. The acting was very, very good. I completely and helplessly felt in love with Katherine Waterston, she was magnificent at least and from now on I'll be following her career very closely.
The actor, producer, director and writer Tom O'Brien made one hell of a movie, his performance as an actor was close to perfect and in my opinion. The whole documentary like theme was perfect for the purpose of the movie only one thing I can say - Respect!
P.S. Sorry about my poor English.
