Terrible accents?
24 April 2024
Once again I see the British/English/ and an Irish type dude utilize an American accent. It's hilarious to us. Great show though but it's funny to watch the struggle to actually understand our lingo. Sorry dude, your accent sucks. Terrible. There's one thing we know is our lingo and how it's fake. You lost, as an actor the actual way we speak. After this series I looked you up and you're Irish! How funny that you couldn't carry our lingo. The offense is that you suck at how we speak. There was some Budget comedy where they had one of the British trying to utilize our accent. How poor you and your people know who we are and how we speak. I feel sorry for those actors that fail the way we speak because that means those that don't know our lingo don't understand us as a people. You failed at our actual accent.

Unoriginal
21 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Oh yeah, Cameron lives on! Bam, blam, boom!! This film did not hit the spot for the people. A film that didn't exceed a "simple human" type of expectations. BSG (any other sci-fi person knows) blew this film away whether it be from the late 70s or the 2010s. There is nothing original here and we all are disappointed. We have seen the same story before but this didn't offer anyone new in terms of resolution. Why was this movie made? It's another bland, boring, cookie cutter film supported by great actors. Ex Machina (so?) took an old concept and made it new. This film just milked the prospect of machines (Terminator) hitting humanity.

A woman on her journey!
12 June 2023
I'll start with why this movie deserves to be called a film. This movie leaves you hanging with constantly wondering, questioning even, what the protagonist, a role fantastically played by Ruth Miller, is going to do next or what the cause of her suffering is, although the assumption is it's a bored and unfulfilled person just looking for some new action.

This is not the "person on a journey of self discovery" type film one would expect as it cannot be boxed in to this type of genre. This movie really gets down to a person's pain that causes a withdrawal from one's life. A withdrawal that fills a person with grief and a loathing of, and to, the self and the life being lived.

How did this whole framing of turmoil, insecurity, emotional pain, and grief actually happen on the screen?

I'll tell you how; fantastic acting, editing, and direction along with the whole group of glorious collaborators that created an enthralling piece of work. Mr. Blond remains enigmatic through the entire flick.

Great Series!!! But...
18 April 2023
First off this Series is fantastic. Tim Roth can't fail at a role and plays a thoroughly, and lethally, compromised human being. A completely lethal man with sociopathic tendencies with questionable ethics and morals is the protagonist and yet you want to root for the man. Tim Roth delivers in this series and so does Rowan Joffe with superb writing and producing. The character of the gruff, alcoholic police officer in pain has been mastered with no contrivances.

Now let's talk beautiful scenery, camera work that sucks you in to each of the characters' journeys.

But, oil companies, really. Christina Hendricks said she took the role because of the oil company being a villain. Come on man, we don't need to be inculcated, by subterfuge by the way, in to any systems of belief. Be more original people, come on!

It's a good Western
16 April 2023
I don't get what all the negativity is about on this film. The movie establishes the protagonists in a manner that doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence. The armorer knew what he/she was doing as all the gunmen in the flick had unique weaponry from pistol to rifle to knife. The links to upcoming plot points were clever enough to link character beats to their archs so as to not insult the actors involved in this project. Thomas Jane, Sam Worthington, Heather Graham, the uniquely talented supporting players all did a great job in their roles and yes, even Machine Gun Kelly did a good job on, what I can only assume, his quest to become a thespian. Regardless, the actors did a fantastic job. Cinematography was great as it captured the beautiful West while harnessing the gritty undertones of the movie. There are surprises along the way too!

Popcorn 🍿 and fun!
1 March 2023
So, poor lip synching for even the english speaking characters along with actors that overdramatize, and outlandish special effects that challenges anybody's willing suspension of disbelief all adds up to a fun movie that entertained enough to create a fun evening! Look, the movie is ridiculous and I get that but what fun it was. Multiple nationalities and cultures coming together to make this movie an indictment of the past utilizing the most vainglorious of characters that will not bore you. This is a fun sequel to the original movie that is "Impossible Empire" which is an equally ludicrous flick that still entertained as well. Sit down with some popcorn and have some fun.

Come on, it's funny in some spots

Where the reviewers before expecting Citizen Cain?

Expectations were set to low and that's how it should be when coming into a raunchy rom-com. It was funny. Yes, you could guess where the flick, and the characters were going. This movie wasn't meant to go to the festivals nor should it go but there were some funny moments and filled an hour and a half of my time with some laughs. Luke Wilson, and the supporting cast we're on time. I got the vibe they were having funaking the movie. This is lighthearted stuff with no desire to make a political stand or preach to the viewer. This movie had some laughs and was better than a Michael Bay movie!

Surprised!!
9 January 2023
We all know when we like a movie. Sometimes we don't know why a particular film resonates, sparks an emotion, or has one rooting for one of the characters.

Preconceived ideas and expectations of this movie, it's writer/director, and a subplot filled with arrogant judgement were completely shattered. Along with all of his callaborators, B. J. Novak created a movie that is funny, enthralling, surprising, and beautiful.

Expecting the usual "oil is bad" preaching along with a dabbling of "gun control is great" set me up for a lesson in open mindedness and censoring my expectations. I say thank you for a fresh, surprising film.

Cheers Flanary!
22 December 2022
This is a great "road movie" centered on two people finding themselves. Caylee Cowan exhibits the theme of the movie in an intelligent and seductive way. Hopefully, there will be a sequel. The soundtrack enhances each scene with perfectly selected songs.

The chemistry between the protagonists is brilliant and powerful. Uncontrolled emotions and a gravitational pull between the two while they both search for their own individual core is beautiful. They are both looking for a respite from the unhealthy, dark, and unfulfilling existence they are living in. They are counting on each other to commit to an honest and passionate love that provides support on this journey of self discovery.

Wanted to like it!
29 March 2022
A show based on a newsroom surrounded by historic events would, ordinarily, be right up my alley but, unfortunately, The Newsreader does not deliver the goods. Every male character was weak and reactionary with transparent arcs. There was nothing surprising in the storyline. So disappointed.

German Cop-Buddies!

It was fun and funny. Just go with it. Yes there were some continuity issues and obvious plot directions but so what. Yes the junior partner agitated me but it still worked. I mean, come on, McDonald's in Germany is funny.
