Honor Diaries (2013)
Very powerful
This is a very powerful film that embraces the union of women no matter what background they come from to fight against honor violence.
I was a little bit disappointed that the film is only an hour long. It's definitely very informative and entertaining but I was left wanting more and I think the film deserves to be longer.
Quality is great and script was well put together. If you have no idea what "honor violence" is you will after you watch it.
I loved absolutely every single activist in the film being Raquel Saraswati my favorite and I was left with this feeling of wanting to help and do more for this cause that has become a global issue.
I would definitely recommend this film to anybody.
The Price of Honor (2014)
Very intimate, very personal, very awesome
I usually don't write reviews but I was lucky to be invited to a private screening. It's definitely a very interesting topic, "Honor Killings".
The film gets into the story of Sarah and Amina, two girls who were killed by their father and then he run away. The film keeps you interested through the whole almost two hours. I don't want to drop any spoiler but there is much more than the topic and they show their own theory and investigation after the killer.
Be ready to be shocked and make sure you get a box of tissue before you start watching. I really hope the film gets a lot more exposure. Definitely a worth film to watch.
