The synopsis for this kind of makes me laugh as Sissy Spacek before Carrie. Never knew she was in an episode of this. I kept thinking something was going to happen.... It was actually a good episode, despite thinking of her in Carrie the whole time.

Is it Oscarworthy-no. But it was fun. Sometimes I think people cannot just sit and be entertained without picky a movie apart.

Not bad, & I watched both episodes. But for some of you who didn't even bother watching a whole one episode, you shouldn't be reviewing. Imagine people in the real world judging you on your 15 minutes. Yea, pun intended.

I love a good horror movie. One of my favorites being Ghost Story. And I love Hitchcock. This one reminds me of combination of the two. Hitchcock was good at making us the viewer use our imagination. This does that. Now I am not one who gets scared watching horror movies, but for some reason this one made me want to watch it in the morning rather than at night before bed. Yes, it's slow paced, but the suspense would not be there if it moved too fast. After all it's only 3 episodes. I do wish Palin would appear more. This was done in 2014, but for whatever reason PBS is just airing it.

Not sure why some are bringing up history to judge this TV series. It's on WGN not the History channel. We saw the previews for Salem & it turned out to be exactly what the previews made it out to be. It's not going to be sweet & silly, we've had those. It's not going to be campy, had those. Not really for the young teens, we still have those. If you're absolutely against this series, OK don't watch it anymore. If you are giving up on it after 1 episode because it was too slow, maybe give it a few more episodes(if you have the time). You don't want them to give too much away, in the first episode. Sometimes people give up on a show too early, when the best is yet to come(I know with some shows that never happens). I'll be tuning in. It's different than the other "witch" series.
