Some people just shouldnt be allowed to leave reviews
17 July 2023
Did people not understand what kind of show this was, or are they just that dumb? If youre looking for Jack Ryan, this isnt it, nor does it pretend to be. Its meant to be a bit over the top and silly, and be reminiscent of those 80s/90s action movies. While there were things that could have been better (no show/movie is above criticism), it was good for what it was going for. The comedy could be a bit hit or miss at times, and the outcomes were certainly predictable, but as I said, it was going for a certain type of entertainment, and it hit the mark. I had a good time watching this, and was never bored.

Absolute Garbage

This is food for the brain dead, that will literally watch ANYTHING. Its good to give things a chance and have a positive attitude going into things, but how did people become this docile and un-opinionated? You could literally sell ice cubes to these people in the middle of a blizzard.

How hard is it to make a good RE movie??
20 February 2022
Judging by many of the reviews, you can literally sell anything to some people. If you knew nothing about RE, you might enjoy this movie, but for those of us who are actually fans of the series (not including ones that only jumped on the bandwagon with 7 & 8), this was a slapped together buffet of fan service references, which may sound good to some, but its pretty bad here. That and the off casting, plus the obsession writers for these kinds of movies seem to have with trying to cleverly make connections that are unnecessary, and dont make sense with the original source material. Stupid and dishonest people are always going to support bad art, and no amount of thruthful reviews are going to change that, but people that actually know what they are talking about should never stop demanding better. Without stupid, this could have been a good movie.

They should have gotten Colin Hanks
11 January 2022
I know its a bit on the nose, but honestly Colin Hanks has the best chance of bringing his fathers charm to the role. Josh Peck just doesnt really fit. I dont agree that this is just for children, its just not quite for adults either. It has themes and imagery that fall somewhere in the middle. Maybe it will get better as time goes on.

Dont try to be Home Alone
20 December 2021
Had some actual decent things going for it, but tried too hard to tie to the original Home Alone. This wouldve been better as its own thing, with only the kid left home alone concept. It was actually nice to see the "villains" of the movie not being career criminals, spies, or other such nonsense, and many jokes came so close to actually being funny...so close. All I want for Christmas this year is a little more creativity.

Is this the only animation style anyone knows how to do anymore?
21 November 2021
Stop killing creativity with this cookie cutter animation style that isnt even good. Id be more willing to get into these kinds of shows if the style that they rest on like a crutch was actually not so ugly and lazy looking, but we live in the era of stupid and being content with little to no effort, and children are unfairly used as the excuse. Sad.

A review of the episode and other reviewers
26 September 2021
You people saying this was an awful episode are crazy. I get if you dont really care much for the 2nd story, but it wasnt terrible. It just wasnt great. It felt more like an episode of Goosebumps or something. To the delusional person that said it was the worst story ever, I guess you forgot about Sibling Rivalry from season 2, or you have the worst taste ever. To the guy crying about the episode being woke, just because they kill off a psycho hillbilly that reminds you of your cousin kissing father, doesnt mean it has a woke message. I bet you parrot this type of review on anything that isnt all about hicks being heroes, so your opinion is moot. The person saying this was an awful start to the season, you just come off as one of those armchair critic types that think the only way to critique something is to bash it. Youre more like Comic Book Guy than a critic that should be taken seriously. None of you should continue writing reviews until you can be fair about them. This was hardly a terrible episode.

I love Creepshow. I do not love this episode
6 May 2021
The first story was entertaining enough, but got a little silly at the end. Is Creepshow trying to be The Twilight Zone now?? Dont! Let TZ do the TZ thing...Creepshow needs to stick to being Creepshow. The 2nd story, I hated from the first 5 seconds. The acting was awful, the story was stupid, and unfunny, not scary, not clever, and it was presented like a modern day B-movie, that is to say terrible. No more of these types of episodes, please! People that are praising the 2nd episode are stupid. Yes...you are stupid.

I love The Simpsons, but I hate the Halloween episodes
17 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The old Halloween episodes are great. They actually are about...Halloween!! The last SEVERAL years, the writers took the most popular episodes of the year, and turned them into a dumping ground for weird concepts that couldnt make it in the regular episodes. They suck!! Finally, enough with the politics!! Its dated, and unfunny. Having said that, I did kind of enjoy the Toy Story like segment, though it shouldve ended when Lisa pulled Barts string. That wouldve actually been a little creepy, but the writers are too out of touch to think a Halloween episode should be creepy or scary in any way. Oh, and stop putting the HALLOWEEN episodes in November!!! What is wrong with you??

Keep The Simpsons going for another 30+ seasons. This show has gotten better than some of the previous seasons. Dont let armchair critics talk you into hating this show. Not every episode can be exciting, so stop expecting an unreasonable excitement high, like some kind of addict. Have realistic expectations.

How soon they forget
13 April 2021
To the person saying this show is too depressing and to the people that agree, you must not remember when the show was called Roseanne. This show has always had sad moments. This family has gone through hell and has somehow managed to survive it all. Thats what makes the show and the characters so great.

Batman: Hush (2019 Video)

Why are these movies SO terrible??
2 January 2021
Im a huge fan of the animated series of the 90s, but I know that doesnt have to be the only version of animation or voice acting, but these standalone movies are just garbage. Theres none of the sophistication of the animated series, the voice acting is not done well. The voices instead sound more like a cheap attempt to appeal to the young adult crowd, instead of feeling emotion in the delivery with actually talented VOs. The voices are bland and dont stand out as individual characters, but instead it sounds more like female character = female voice actor of any kind. There are a few characters that actually sounded like they should. Its weird to have Tara Strong in the lineup, but not play Harley, but the woman that took her place actually did a pretty good job. Lois was good too, and Clark/Superman was...acceptable. Okay, moving on from the voices. This, like many other more current animated Batman movies, they try too hard to be edgy when Batman doesnt need to be edgy in those ways. We dont need to see Poison Ivy kissing Catwoman. We dont need characters throwing out superlative explatives, like a show on HBO that flaunts how "adult" it can be. People that get hyped over animated adaptations of comic stories are already setting themselves up for disappointment. Older stories with actual staying power, could potentially make good animated movies, or even live action ones, but have you seen modern stories over the last 15+ years in comics?? Theyre too ridiculous and desperately trying to keep their respective series alive, like some kind of shoddy life support. Many of the other reviews for this movie, are a clear indication that we have let the style over substance culture thrive for too long. Now we have people that dont even realize what they are missing, because theyve grown up too much on writing and presentation that should make even a fan of anime cringe. These movies keep feeling like they were written by childish fanfic writers, and voice acted by people with not much more talent than them. I dont care what people with low standards want to say, and I dont care about whatever their grudges are against older things are about, but the fact of the matter is older things had better voice acting, real passion for the not only the source materials, but the industries that they are a part of, as well. Its not just nostalgia, or getting older, or any other weak excuse to continue the denial of the decline of pretty much every art form their is. Everything has become cheaper, lazier, passionless, and based almost entirely on monetary gain. Its disgusting, and depressing, and it needs to end.

The Twilight Zone: You Might Also Like (2020)

Absolutely Ridiculous
29 June 2020
This episode could have been decent, but instead we are left with weird for the sake of weird. The characters were not likable nor relatable, and their motivations made little to no sense, and nothing is explained in a satisfying way, if at all. Its just a frustrating journey with an empty conclusion. The rest of the season is great, and even better than the first, and I absolutely dont agree with the person wanting the show to end just because its not the 80s or 2000s version. This show has a lot of potential, but this one particular eoisode was a complete dud.

Excellent show!!

The majority of hate this show seems to get is from Trump cultists, and people that dont like politics. Its important to remember that the original TZ was also political. Maybe not all the time, and maybe not very heavy handed, but political nonetheless, usually more in a metaphor fashion that mirrored real world issues at the time. As far as Trump cultists who are butthurt go, well...who cares what they think?? Lol. If anything, its more reason to give the show a watch.

Offensive "comedy" is easy and lowbrow
2 May 2020
McFarlane has made it all too clear over the years where his opinion on lgbt people lies. Hes moderately talented, but instead of inproving upon that talent, he has instead let attention and fame go to his head, and now hes all about making jokes that reference the 80s and 90s to cash in on cheap nostalgia, and jokes that punch down on people who really dont need it, who are just trying to enjoy things like everyone else. Its one thing to trash people for having certain types of personalities and such, but to send some of the msgs he has sent in his shows and in this movie is just disgusting, and unacceptable. Its not being sensitive to not want to hear jokes about people just because they exist, rather than jokes we can all laugh at together. I hope making the world a little bit of a worse place is worth it Seth.

Who keeps asking for this kind of garbage??
7 October 2019
It never ceases to amaze me how much these "comedy" horror film makers, and their fans alike, almost seem to hate both comedy and horror by creating and supporting these complete wastes of time and money. Im not opposed to horror mixed with comedy. Im not against cheesey dialog, or campy situations. Im not even against "adult" humor...to a point, but how can anyone with even a single functioning brain cell find fart joke level humor SO funny that you make or watch an entire movie dedicated to it. Its so sad that even in the indie horror department, the newer generations are incompetent hacks compared to people that actually had talent back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and actually cared about providing good quality. People that make these embarassments should just stick to making adult films, where this level of stupid can actually be appreciated, but it needs to stop being passed off as legitimate film making, and especially stop tainting the horror genre.

Who is this for??
24 April 2019
This is drawn horribly, the attempt at humor is incredibly poor and cliche. Every newer iteration of the Ninja Turtles keeps getting uglier and uglier, and like so many long-lived IPs, this is another attempt to dumb down/water down a known name in television history into something that caters to the brainless masses, and is exactly like the previous dumbed down show, but in different packaging, instead of using the platform to promote creativity, good writing, talent based art, etc. Imagine if we as kids grew up on this participation ribbon, no substance garbage (and yes, Im aware we didnt always have the best shows/movies to choose from either). I was lucky to have many sources that inspired in me creativity, critical thinking, and emotional development. Please dont support things like this, even if your kids like it. Kids also like to actually watch something intelligent and different.

Dont give a show a classic name if you dont want the classic viewer reviews!!
2 August 2018
Im only bothering to write this to express the ridiculousness of the people that give this show 9/10 or 10/10. You say this is a show for kids, you insult an older generation who still loves the original show, you say this show is good because it introduces a new generation to a show they might otherwise have never known existed. Then theres the argument that your childhood is still intact and you can always go back and watch the old stuff. These are all weak, short-sighted, and selfish arguments. If you want to watch a brainless Power Ranger rip-off, with cliche plots, dialog that took 5 minutes to write, and bad acting, there are plenty of other options out there for your kids who apparently will eat up ANYTHING put in front of them. Of course, Im not blaming the kids for this, while some kids are much more critical in thinking about what they watch, most young kids just like anything colorful with a lot of noise and action, and thats perfectly fine and normal. I do however, blame the parents they know this, and yet try to give this show a high rating, with the justification "because their child likes it", and they so desperately want to believe their child is more advanced than they really are.

This show was a cheap, talentless cash grab, and everyone behind this show knows it, so why dont the rest of you, who make these petty arguments about it being a show for kids, realize this? Ive got news for you, if they werent trying to grab the attention and views of the original audience, they wouldnt have called it Reboot, and they wouldnt have made references to the old show, so there goes that argument out the window! We all know this cheap, processed, cookie cutter show could have been called anything, but they knew it wouldnt go anywhere without name recognition, so they sold out the old fans for some quick cash.

To those of you saying that without this show, youd never know ReBoot existed, well that could be seen as your own fault (its not hard to hear about or see something about Reboot from SOMEONE out there on the internet, possibly your parents fault (for showing you mindless garbage instead of older stuff from their childhoods, before the days of cheap animation and spoiled, angry modern animators that hate anything classic for some reason), or perhaps the fault of all the networks that wouldnt support and carry on the original show. You could almost just as easily have watched the old series at some point in time in some way. If you ended up liking it, is it wrong to be upset because you recognize that the old series was butchered for a cash grab? If you didnt know about the old series, then you also didnt know how the fans have been waiting for the show to come back, you wouldnt know about the rough history of the original series, and since you dont know about those things, maybe you just shouldnt open your mouth and criticize other people over things you dont understand. If youre a 30+ something and/or a parent, did you give up your right to enjoy childish things you grew up with? If so, thats your choice, but you dont speak for everyone of your generation, and if youre in your late teens/early twenties, would you like to be told your too old to enjoy the things you were enjoying just a few years ago? Im guessing no, so dont go trying to tell other people that shows like this are only for you or younger kids. Youre going to get older and watch the things you love get butchered and youre going to complain like the people you are criticizing now, and you will want people to understand why its so upsetting to you. Its not because fans of old shows, movies, etc., are unstable (though some can be at times), its because we are all just kids at heart and the things that make some of us happy in this crappy world feel timeless, and as we get older we want to welcome the next generation to enjoy it as well, but instead the older generations just get crying and whining from brainless corporate shills that have been trained to defend whatever dumbed down garbage these networks churn out.
