Joe Pickett (2021–2023)

This is the real America!
9 December 2022
TL;DR: WATCH THIS SHOW, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

I am new to Joe Pickett and not a US citizen and never have read the books. However, the first episode only captures the audience with a great leash where we are taken in a rural Wyoming town and a story about a small town game warden. (Game warden is a weird name for a park ranger, but in the first episode itself, they correct me; in fact a game warden is not a park ranger).

Why I say this the real America, it surrounds with real people with real issues. Not some superficial issues faced by Californians (Los Angelinos) or New Yorkers. Also the character 'Joe Pickett' is a higher dimensional character not some made up hero filled with macho man western clichés.

Also I love Michael Dorman, he was out of this world in Patriot tv show, which the reader must watch.

Literally took my breath away.
22 September 2022
As a lifelong star wars fan, ever since I first saw star wars as a kid, the feeling that was long lost, it just got back to me. Just finished watching episode three and the episode is literally breathtaking and such a tearjerker.

Wow, I never thought, I'd see this much powerful Star Wars series would come out in 2022 out of all those years. I guarantee you, this is the best (yet) Star Wars universe tv show and it is quite thought-provoking and unique. Kudos and hats off to the creators, you have outdone yourselves and you have outdone yourselves. The creators of the next show/movie will be severely challenged by this piece of art and they will have to top this. THEY WILL HAVE TO TOP THIS.

9/10 so far for the episodes that were out yet (currently 3 episodes out) and I know it will only go uphill from this point onward. Gods bless George Lucas and his universe. Gods bless the creators who know art.

About Fate (2022)

Doesn't contain THE MESSAGE
11 September 2022
I absolutely loved this movie.

In 2022, it is very hard to find a story like this.

The story is very character driven, there is no unnecessary subplots to confuse the viewer and there is no exploring side-character's stories unnecessarily.

Absolutely zero mention of THE MESSAGE.

(This is why this is a rare find in 2022)

In this movie, the just the lead actors telling their story how they meet on a fateful night and how they keep meeting for some reason is explored. It's just lead actors telling their story and the supporting actors are supporting the leads' story to progress.

Seven out of ten because there are some goofs and mishaps in the movie that make the viewer feel like deceived but it does not hurt the story's continuation.

A must watch if you love rom-coms which has the new year's eve theme bound to it.

Greatest Sci-Fi SyFy Comedy on Earth Right Now
9 September 2022
Just watch it, it's hilarious and very nuanced. It laughs at mainstream comedy and current political climate. It is in fact a satirical look at ALIENS (if you will). First season is very entertaining and the second season feels very personal.

As a person who loves Sci-Fi and UFOs (I have "I Want to Believe" poster in my room) this show really talks to those kind of fans and also Alan Tudyk is phenomenal in this. He's acting throws away all the prejudices on how on earth someone acts so well even if they are a human being not an alien (extra-terrestrial).

Just finished season two and allow me to say cannot wait till the third season comes out. Story ends in a somewhat cliffhanger but I hope by the time season 3 hits the service, I might forget this un-easiness and get excited for what's in store for season three viewers.

Thank God(s) they still make movies in Hollywood

This movie is a really entertaining movie with a story arc (predictable but nice). If you love Sci-Fi, 8-Bit games, and like to live die repeat, this is a must watch.

A Teacher (2013)

Reality is often disappointing
4 February 2021
This movie shows a story of an illicit affair between a student and a teacher. In theory, this kind of affairs are portrayed as fun and awesome in some movies, and books. But in reality, the toll it takes on human life, the morals, the ethical boundaries these people has stepped out of, are astounding. I think the 2020 tv show A Teacher portrays this better than this movie itself (created by the same writer).

Depressing and inspiring at the same time
18 January 2021
This review will not contain any spoiler. I started watching this show when I was bored and after watching the season one I thought about posting a review. This story is about a thing that I really don't understand. However, the story is really cathartic. This show proves that good art is good art and it will transcends you to a different level of humanity and understanding about humanity. We do not like the things we do not understand. We like to make an understanding everything we experience. If we cannot make an understanding about what is happening to us, we will resort to uncommon ways and in a sense we will be united or divided even further. Without a doubt I can say this show worth watching comparing to the latest shows that pours out of Hollywood which has obvious dumbfounded propaganda.

Not a USA reviewer...

I know the PC culture really tries to depict that all men are bad and all women are good. I don't know about that. But the story in the movie is somewhat aligns with my life experience. Not a woman tho, I have seen women are overlooked and underestimated by the hands of men. I really had a fun time watching the movie and the actors had done justice to their characters. I would give 10 if it had a Joker cameo... 🤷 If you are free and had some spare to spend, not a bad movie to watch. I know it's not Shawshank, but you'll go home satisfied. Cuz, I did.
