Down to Earth with Zac Efron (2020)
Hardly write review but my god i couldn't resist
Zac and Darrin have done something incredible and educational. I have learned so much about food and nature and ecosystems. I mean one episode is about water and its not boring!!! It's water probably the boring drink in the world and it gripped me the entire way.
Second season is all about Australia and it's amazing too considering that's during the pandemic times pretty incredible stuff i must say.
I never so much learned or retained so much before in school about the stuff they cover in this . Truly masterful you get lost into the episodes and enthralled in the journey. Bravo!! Watch please!
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Wow, I Felt the Need!!!!
This review only has info from the revealed in trailers
This film is masterful. Totally understand why it was made!!! I'm bias because Tom Cruise is my favourite actor but, he puts on that jacket like he never left the role it's marvellous to watch him and all he's done with this movie. The rest of this cast are truly remarkable and totally believable in this world. Miles Teller goes an extra mile with convincing the audience that he truly is "Goose's son" I thought that the story was masterful and the action and flying, although sometimes seems at little inaccurate, THRILLING. This film will be a film i will watch every year after watching the original before it. I watched it with some DBOX seats (seats that rumble and move to the action of the movie) and Truly was Immersed it was awesome. Top Gun Maverick Truly lives up to the Name. So yes "I felt the Need, The Need For Speed."
The Black Dahlia (2006)
if you watch it in black and white it's almost worth it
I'm sorry but if i see one more swipe screen cut i'm going to throw the remote. I thought the dialogue was messy the cast is great but i don't think there given enough direction to make me care for their characters. Over all disappointing in my opinion. I watched in colour first then made it black and white. Much more enjoyable in black and white.
West Side Story (2021)
Mesmerizing
Saw an early screening of West Side Story tonight. I have to say i thought it was fantastic! Steven certainly went for it and by god did he. Cast was incredible! I hope it's up for the oscar's. Truly triumphant. I won't discuss spoilers because, even though it's a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, there are some things to be spoiled. Visually stunning cinematography from Kaminski, the dancing really works, and is told through great choreography really pops and all moves are deliberate!! The singing is quite excellent and no one is off key it sounds very fresh. I will be recommending this to many people and buy when released to bluray and digital. Bravo really loved it. Cried way more than usual it's stunning.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
So this is one hell of a ride
John Wick continues to keep the audience entertained and glued to our seats with John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. The action is once again incredible, Halle Berry is finally used and shines in this movie like holy crap. And i was just loving every part of this movie. Watch the first two before you see it but yeah incredible.
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019)
If you love Pokémon you'll like and appricate this movie
For Pokémon fans I don't believe this movie does everything to please them but, I think that's what makes this movie great. Yes I would agree that is is a "Pokémon movie" rather than a movie with "Pokémon's and humans". The only problem that I had with this movie was the humans. Whenever their story came into play I just didn't care for them. That being said they are wonderful actors and Ryan Reynolds knocks it out of the park again.
Paddington 2 (2017)
What an amazing General Movie
Paddington 2 is a triumph of many aspects of filmmaking. First off the cgi is incredible and Ben Winshaw knocks it out of the park again as "Our Favourite Bear" Paddington. Secondly the Cinematography is abosuley gorgeous and feels more realistic than the first film. Last but not least Hugh Grant's character should have won a globe or an Oscar he plays the role to perfection. Everyone in the cast is excellent and relatable. This is definitely one of those movies that make me care about everyone, and the ending makes the cry happy tears.
